digging a big hole in the ground by hand. big enough to get into. should be compulsory for everyone in the country when they turn 18. i think then everyone could appreciate how hard it actually is doing proper graft

Garden Wall construction looked a nightmare, but as usual, Izzy, straight on the job, giving detailed information on the background to the project, prior to work completion. Already starting to look good! Nice one lads! 👍

Just a tip here but when stepping footings you should allow the higher section of concrete to overlap the lower section by at least 300mm.

Top video as always mate! Just curious, have you ever considered getting a labourer to get drew on the trowel full time?

hi Izzy, I finished my apprenticeship 30 years ago as a Building services Draughtsperson while serving in the Royal Engineers, luckily in those days the apprenticeship was a good 18-hour-a-day graft and not necessarily on the drawing board but in the artisan trade workshops. so a question for you. If you had the chance, would you study for a HNC in the building so that you had the technical ability to question designs? (not that you don't constantly already I'm sure)? Also do you still meet master builders that are just on another level (the sort that you may never see again)? Gra Ps great work and comradeship - keep the videos coming bud.

Why didn't you do the blockwork overhand? Seems daft to work in that tiny space.
