Hey guys, Having bird bath is a great addition to your landscape. Fresh water is important for birds not only for drinking but to keep their feathers clean. Birds like shallow water for bathing so you don't have to overfill your bird bath. You could place rocks in the bath for the birds to perch and drink. The Hare's Tail grass is a nice addition to the beautiful window box. I grew it too, and I think every seed germinated. Easy to grow and fun to touch the soft bunny tail plumes. Kids love to touch and pet the bunny tails!

When I learned would be allowed to work from home 2 days a week my birdbaths were moved into my flowerbed. So I'm able to enjoy watching. The little birds are always the first to arrive, then the blue jays, and the crows make an appearance occasionally. So much fun watching the bathing habits. .

Oh Laura what a great idea to put a heater in your bird bath. Well it didn't take long for the birds to find it. I love to see them in the bird bath. Oh I miss all of the Christmas tree greens I used to have unlimited access to when I lived on a Christmas Tree farm. I lived on a 622 acre farm in Estacada, OR where I renovated & managed a 14,000 sq ft home & turned it into a beautiful wedding venue. I absolutely loved all of the tree cuttings I could use every season & had so much fun making wreaths & garlands & decorating the venue. The place would smell so amazing! The windowbox looks especially nice and me of little faith questioned what you were doing when you added the wheat and thought, "Nooooo, needs RED". Ha ha ha! You came through as you always do. Nice job!

that’s my birdbath heater! I’ve used it for decades. I put a rock on the cable to hold the heater in place. Make sure you change the water every other day. I do this by filling a large bucket of water (zone 7 - get water from kitchen sink) and splashing it into the bath. This helps replace the water and “clean” the bowl. Remove that white tag on the cable so it will all blend in to nature. ALSO…turn the cable away from view. I also use rocks to camouflage the cable. I spray painted mine this year to camouflage. OH!!! Put them by the window(s) you look out the most!

We always put a heated bird “spa” out in the winter along with 5 bird feeders. We LOVE watching them during the long cold winter (Chicago burbs). 🕊️☃️

Her hair is Lovely....Looks more Natural. It is so Rich looking now....Her beautiful Real hair color. Much better with her skin tone. It was getting too Blonde / Red.....Auburn.

Hi Laura, I’ve been a steady supporter of your videos for some time now and wanted to share a concern for you that unfortunately happened to me. I too loved gardening and moving heavy pots and fountains around when I was your age. Although I thought I was being careful with my body doing all the lifting, I’m now paying the price. Worn joints and so much wrong with my back, neck, and shoulders that enjoying my senior years is all but impossible. I do hope you’re taking great care with all you do. I might even suggest you talk with your doctor or a physical therapist on ways to protect yourself, especially your back. I sure miss my gardening but unfortunately we don’t stay young forever. Laura, you are a genius with combining textures and colors! I wish I had the knack for being able to do both. Is it experience are are you just born with it? Also, did you leave the existing soil in the window boxes or are the boughs just placed there? Thank you and Aaron for all your success. The decorations around your back door are so pretty. Incorporating some extra wide gold/ apricot or light orange ribbon or simple bow would really finish it off.
