Yes ma'am! I'm an old granny now and every Spring I get just as excited to see everything grow as I did 30 some odd years ago! Isn't it wonder when you pick that first tomato, knowing there's enough seeds to plant and share? ❤❤❤

Thank you so much for this! I’m 25 and started my first ever garden in February. I’ve had some serious challenges, but I’m enjoying it so much anyway. There’s something so sacred about gardening, and I’m grateful for the blessing of it, the hard stuff and the successes. 💙

Im going on year 5 and feel like we're JUST barely getting to a point where we're really learning how to navigate our little evosystem. But its definitely very rewarding and i wouldnt trade the journey for the world because its taught me a lot about patience, letting things go and the progress that steady work can bring

Going on five years learning gardening from scratch and starting over with a new space this year after moving. New house, new yard, new growing zone - so much to learn and build but I’m excited 😁

I just lost my very prolific summer squash, pickling cucumber, and cantaloupe to SVBs... thank you for this ❤ while I lost them all, they gave me so much good food while they lasted

Yes, I enjoy listening to audiobooks while roaming around in the garden. Thanks to David Goggins, I was inspired to run a half marathon wearing Crocs just to see if it was possible. Sometimes you win and sometimes we learn something new in the garden. Great video!

This feels so relevant. I'm 3 years into a fairly small garden, but now pregnant again with a 1.5 yo and it feels hard to keep on top of, on top of being a sahm and everything else in life. I try to be easy on myself that every year things get a little easier and it becomes more routine, and life with kids especially is a lot in itself.

I was in the same boat when I started 2 years ago. Our rocky clay soil killed most everything until I began using a mix of soil(50%) and compost(50%). I use about 20% organic matter now Using weeds to make a fertile tea which I dilute 1 part tea to 3 parts water also helped bring my garden to life. I also let the weeds grow and till the ground for me rather than fussing only to fail; thaf worked wonders! It took a lot of research and experimenting to start with but it was worth it. My yeilds have gone up 2 to 4 times in year 2 so all this to say... Keep trying. You can do it!!!🎉

That's encouraging. Thank you. I started composting but it's not ready yet. I purchased some garden soil from an online seller who promised that it has 50% compost but it seems like she's lying. I'm vermicast tea but I'm not sure if it's working. We don't have a backyard so I'm doing container gardening.

Our apartment offers a community garden on the property. I'd never been a fan of gardening, only time I'd experienced gardening was when I had to help my dad plant flowers for his workplace and he'd just criticize my work 😑 but I've learned to really love and appreciate my little 8x8 garden box. My husband and I are learning each year and trying new things with each harvest.

Lol this is very true, just a little different gardening for me😂. First year growing mary jane, as its become legal, and its a lot like other plants. Its been very difficult dealing with eveyrytbing. Making sure not to over/underwater, keeping an eyen on pests, doing proper techniques and defoliations. Its been a lot ,but thus far its been rewarding.

I was encouraging a friend with her new garden. My biggest advice is there's no losing. You either win (harvest) or you learn. Being in the sunshine, grounding and planting is not a loss even if they don't all make it to harvest. Its good for the soul❤️

I'm on my fourth or fifth attempt at propogating mint. Each time I learn something new. The internet would have you believe it's easy. Conceptually yes. However, there are a couple things that can go catastrophically wrong, and you need to check on it daily at minimum. Every time has been a different problem. Underwatering, overwatering, too much sun, not enough light, one plant came blighted and I first didn't prune aggressively enough and then pruned too aggressively. Mint is apparently one of the easier propogations. I think I'm about ready to tackle basil haha

Question for you and the community here..... We purchased a new construction home 2 years ago. We moved to a new State from 5 acres to a home in town. I've been adding more and more beds so my question is will it be hard to sell the home with no real backyard? I want my yard like yours Bre.
