You did a great job ,,, thank you for staying down to earth. So many videos tell you to go out and buy , buy,, buy. Not all of us have the means to do that. I like videos like this that stay simple. It helps to remind people to use what you have and do what you can and know that that’s enough.

Hey, you rock, young lady! Everyone should know how to plant a garden. Big or small, it matters. I do it from my small apt & grow a few container veggies on my balcony! It's not only healthy, but it supplements our food supply and teaches young & old respect for nature & Mother Earth! Thanks for doing this video. It's valuable on so many levels!

If you end up with a bad quality of potting soil, you can always add your own compost. Keep all your kitchen scraps (non-meat/non-dairy), paper, leaves, egg shells, and etc, folks. They are the building blocks of good compost!

And you could ziptie the wire trellis onto the pot so the weight of the 🍉 doesn't too it over and pull the wire trellis out

I did this with my asparagus but i lined it with gardening fabric so that the water can drain. I also used those storage crates with the holes in them and lined with garden fabric. I love gardening... It is so relaxing to me! I am also apart of a gardening group called Black Girls Grow Gardens and they are an amazing grow, very positive and helpful! Its a sisterhood over there. Happy Gardening!

Thank you sweet heart, for the planting in laundry baskets idea. Such a super cool and cheap way to plant, I love it. I am going to the dollar tree store tomorrow 11-28-2021. And I am going to buy 50 baskets and a few packs of white plastic bags. My backyard is going to be a very colorful site to see LOL. By the way your ear rings are just beautiful. I love this! We did the exact same thing. I have some of the same things from Dollar Tree as well. We grew the watermelons on a handmade trellis too. Glad I found another Black girl gardener🥰

Yesssss!!! No joke, I had just decided that it was going to be too much money and hassle to do a garden this year. We just moved and I don’t have an area all dug up or anything. I love this. Thank you. Do you ever have trouble with slugs? I read that you can use those copper scrubbers and unroll and cut them, then place a few strands around the base of your plants. Have a great day.

I just happened to find your video and I love, love it. I always wanted to make pumpkin, and I could never find a spot for the few things to grow. Well I found your channel and was so thrilled to figure out how to do this with my dollar tree basket, that fell apart after a few days of using it for clothes. So this is a great way to use it for something else and your idea was so great. Thank you for taking time to do this video because I already bought 5 baskets for clothes but now I have something else to use with these baskets. Thank you again.
