Happy you take time out to do these videos Luke, but most of us are all out of breath with Southgate. Same Old Same Old. Favourites for the tournament on paper, however don't see us getting past QF.

I tell ya, if Emery, Klopp, Arteta or Pep had this squad, then we would be coming in to this tournament as defending champs. Southgate is a disaster. Watkins, Gordon & Palmer should have all come on.

A huge frustration for me with this England side is also how we approach an attack. We have wizards in that side but if you re watch our goals from the last 4 tournaments they are predominantly set pieces, crosses from wide and penalties. We have zero confidence playing the ball on the floor or through the middle, all the top teams manage those line breaking central through balls, even working a pass n go into the box. We do none of that, over and over we go out wide, put a ball in, hope, get a corner, put a ball in, knock it down, hope. Why this England side seems to close their eyes and regurgitate the same attacks over n over when they have genuine class and ability to rip sides apart baffles me. You e only got to watch the highlights of each other teams goals this weekend to see the levels above us they have in technical confidence and attacking progression. We play like we’re scared.

We have learnt nothing from tournaments when used to put Gerrard on the left because we wanted him and Lampard in the team. If your not playing that position for your club week in week out, how can you expect to be an expert at it for international level

Should run a guessing competition on how many minutes he will Give Konsa and Watkins through the whole tournament. Im thinkng Watkins will get a run the last 10 minutes in 2 games and Konsa maybe 5 minutes more. Guehi will be his new mate after Kane. The clown will use Gomez before Konsa and Toney before Watkins. Totally agree mate. We play a cautious negative style of football when we feel we are on top of a game… but what doesn’t seem to be recognised are the reasons we are in control of the game in the first place. Just wish there was somebody able to say, Gareth, we have no need to be playing defensively, it is our weakness, stop fitting people in, play to our squad strengths and win games! Think this shows how special and lucky we are to have Unai. So so many managers all over the place can't adjust in game, alleged top managers by the way. Don't get the TAA midfielder situation either. Yes he can play there but he is a top RB. I understand if we were short in MF, but we aren't. I sometimes feel managers who are not top like to do things like this to prove themselves with the mindset of "pep did it with Lahm, and so and so". Play players where they play and excel week in week out.

We have been spoiled watching AVFC under Emery. An elite coach playing sensational football. Every player knows their role in the team. Emery is on every move and kick of the game. Your spot on Luke. I would of took Foden off,brought on Ollie Watkins played Watkins in Foden position moved Bellingham over to the right and kept kane where he was. We looked the real deal against Italy direct & powerful. It's no good having 50 passes if there's no shot on goal. Leaving Grealis was a mistake. I think he tried to show he's flexible by doing that Southgate but it's on the field we want to see flexability .

If England/Southgate learn from it then it’s worth getting it out the way now rather than later against a better side. But let’s face it, he has priors and nothing is likely to change

I want to take the positives a clean sheet and a win. Guehi was very good Trent shown some good moments and Rice and Bellingham is brilliant and Saka was good first half. We are very consistent, every tournament is the same. Great players, out of position, we start well, then bottle it, defend deeper and deeper and hope to hang on. Then comes Croatio, Italy and France who have too much desire and tactics and that’s the end of that….l Rinse repeat. (Obviously desperate for us to change or even fluke it but not confident)
