In this video I prep the M50 manifold with the m50manifold.com conversion kit. There are a lot of videos, threads, blogs, etc that talk about this conversion but I didn't see to many that talked about some of the specifics including modification to the manifold to accommodate the OBD2 fuel rail as well as modifications to the existing OBD2 intake manifold brackets.
In regards to the kit, I am glad that I decided to use m50manifold.com conversion kit as fit and finish of the components was dead on. Also, the instructions you have access to with purchase of the kit are extremely thorough and useful as a reference. Overall, there is a reason why this kit has been around since 2008. It's definitely worth the money in my opinion.
The only thing I did not cover in this video was how I dealt with the IAT (intake air temperature sensor) and the idle air control valve hose. I did come up with solutions to both which I will cover in the installation video. I did however block off the threaded OBD1 IAT port using a standard issue M12x1.5mm oil drain plug and aluminum crush washer.
