Kagawa, Shikoku, Japan - On day two of our adventures across Shikoku, we were followed by two Japanese news stations as we learned how to make Udon, visited the Ritsurin Garden, and spent the night in Takamatsu!

Check out the full Japanese News Story: www.ksb.co.jp/sp/newsweb/deta...
-
In July, I spent a week road tripping around the smallest of the 4 major Japanese Islands - Shikoku. I was invited by the Shikoku Tourism Board to visit each of the 4 Shikoku Prefectures and discover everything there is to do in Shikoku.
It was very unique in comparison to my first Travel Deeper Japan trip where I visited the popular Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka.
Shikoku feels much more remote and a true authentic Japan travel experience - If you ever have the chance, add Shikoku to your list!

There's something about Japanese TVs making videos with foreigners. I was In Tokyo two years ago for a week and I was caught twice by a TV crew. One interviewed me a bout the architecture of Tokyo and the other was some show where they give foreigners some strange object and they were supposed to guess the purpose of the thing. One of the things was a peculiar toilet brush and seeing a couple of Japanese TV shows I could imagine the crazy visual effects with subtitles jumping across the screen around my face. I didn't know what TV station it was and their websites are typically Japanese only so I couldn't find it in their archives after coming back home, but I'm still wondering what that video looked like.
