I have also installed a fuse block for my electronics. Another nice thing is you can upgrade the size, or AWG, of your wiring to the graphs. I run 8AWG to the fuse block and10AWG to my graphs and have a very short lead of the 16AWG pigtail from the factory. As you said, it makes for a neater install which is easier to check.

Like you, I've been using a fuse block since day one for the exact reasons you mentioned. It's also easier to store and change out fuses on a block as opposed to an inline.

I was watching your Sidevu and DownVu settings video and was wondering if you had a Garmin Striker Vivid 9sv with the GT52-HW transducer what would you use for the frequencies and both views? My options are either 455khz or 800khz I'm assuming you're going to say 800 khz but do you use that in both? Do you use the same basic settings as you would on your unit? I appreciate what you're doing and I posted this here because this was the most recent video. I just got the Striker this week and took it out for the first time yesterday, I am pretty impressed but I need to dial it in. This is my first unit with the side view I found out it's not a cure-all by the way I'm on Lake Murray in South Carolina and the upper part of the lake which is always staind or muddy. 😁👍

Nice video as always, just a word of caution be sure you match the circuit with the fuse you are replacing. I'm also updating all electronics in my boat with new wiring and fuse block to a lithium battery with blue tooth app. Im going still having the in fuse to each unit and gls 10 because i move electronics from boat to boat and use them in the winter ice fishing and update them on my work bench in the winter months. Im pretty sure garmin has an inline fuse in the unit but i am not taking a chance. I also installing the a fuse block like yours but got the updated one. The cover is a pain to remove but the updated one has thumb screw removal in the cover much easier in my opinion ...ps i sent the other one back and only costed another dollar both have 12 connections but the connection layout is better on the updated one..The led light sold me for sure....Keep them videos coming they very good.....thanks again

hay Mr Guru got a question on a different subject i have a 24v troll motor and want to hook a 93sv chartplotter to one of the batteries and was wondering if it would work without damaging the garmin or the batteries? reason im asking is it said to make sure each battery is fully charged before you hook up to 24v so wondering if the draw on one more than the other one would cause damage when charging thanks again sorry they are lithium ion batteries

The glass fuse that is in the garmin is a odd ball size like a 6.5 or something. Sorry not currently near my boat but whatever the size is they don’t make in a blade style fuse. How did you remedy that ?

New to wiring here. Can I just leave the 8amp inline fuse from my garmin 106sv ultra there and still hook it up to the fuse block? Is there a problem having two fuses for one thing?

try to pull one of those inline fuses apart with out breaking the glass fuse. They are a PIA to get apart

Can you use both? Can i have some problems if ai had fuse box and blocks? 🤔🤔 manual says if you remove the block warranthy disconnect.

Does that void Garmin's warranty by removing thier inline fuses??
