The wind definitely adds to the challenge of putting fish in the boat.....I know some you have your transducer on your tm it may make this a bit more difficult but I like almost being on side of the pile but position my boat so i'm not troughing my prop wash into our over the pile..... I've found that the fish react different to how close you get depending on the mode they're in..... Stay At'um.....

11' is my favorite ,mostly i like to match my rod to the depth i am fishing for ease of landing the fish

I like the 10’ too but just bought a 12’ for next spring to fish in weeds when they’re spawning. Hopefully that’ll help keep me out of the weeds

I love my spot lock with a separate transducer pole that is fixed and not on the trolling motor. Just an opinion.

Dennis Haire fair enough. I like the trolling motor option cause I like to fish with two poles

I use spot-lock and a separate pole from Fishing Specialties (great product) for the LiveScope TD. I feel it's the only way to go with LiveScope. The spot-lock moves way too much for the LiveScope TD mounted on the TM to work effectively in my opinion, even on very calm days. The LiveScope TD has a 20 degree field of view, so a brush pile can go out of view (off the screen) very quickly with spot-lock and the TD mounted on the TM. You could start off with the LiveScope TD mounted to the TM, and then convert to a separate pole later if you want. Garmin's LiveScope technology is incredible. Lowrance just announced it's LiveSight, and there's no comparison. Garmin's LiveScope is "significantly" better. LiveSight is like Garmin's 1st generation Panoptics (LiveScope is Garmin's 2nd generation product in the Panoptics family). I also mounted a Hydrowave on the Fishing Specialties pole.

Spot lock just doesn’t work with live scope mounted on the trolling motor you need a pole

I hate using Minnows... If I have to use Minnows to crappie I would just stop fishing for them and go after the bass... Crappie are so easy to catch on soft plastic... Just put a stinger on a 1/32 oz. jig and let it sit in front of them it that easy... Hell use a float if you have to and let it sit move it 6 inches to a foot let it sit... Fish it so slow slow slow...
