@@FitnessWithFrost thanks again and best of luck! I subscribed into your channel not to miss any coming reviews. I just realized that the venu sq comes with an LCD and not AMOLED screen one. Did you feel a big difference compared to other AMOLED screen watches you reviewed? I have a Fenix 6x sapphire and want to know if I should expect from the venu sq a similar screen, or more towards the Apple Watch one. Thanks.

Yes and no. Yes in that if you have them both side to side you will be able to notice the AMOLED is brighter typically and more vibrant. No in that if you just know LCD you really won't be upset that you missed out. Hopefully that's a little bit helpful. Also with the 2nd part I've not gotten my hands on those other bands yet. Only the Venu SQ so I don't think I can fully answer that portion

@@FitnessWithFrost sorry if I confused you. I just realized that there was a part that I did not see in your previous reply that you did not review the Fenix 6x. I believe when you review the screen of the Fenix 6 you will get my point. It was mainly about how would you position the brightness of the venu sq screen? More towards the Apple Watch, or the Garmin Fenix 6x? Anyways thanks a lot for your time and keep the great work 😊👍

Does the Garmin Venu SQ "NOT Music" version able to control music on your phone when paired (Volume/Play/Pause/Skip)? Like if you phone is secured away while you're running and you want to crank the volume or skip or repeat the song playing on your phone without digging out your phone disrupting your run?

Love your reviews ! I want you to help me decide which fitness tracker to buy. I am between buying the mi band 6 or the fitbit inspire 2. Is it worth paying extra for the fitbit despite it's tiny screen ?

If you are looking for more accurate fitness tracking and a better app I would go with the fitbit. But the is no denying how nice the screen is on the Mi Band 6. If you want the better screen go with the Mi Band 6. Hopefully that helped!

Does anyone know if you can actually add what you eat? Would be great if it had calorie tracking built in so you could see how much you're burning versus what you actually took in that day. I know you can use another app to count catteries but it would be handy to have it all in one place

Great review thanks so much. Im looking to replace my fitbit ionic and was looking at either the garmin sq or the polar ignite 2. Which would you recommend? I am leaning towards the garmin. I gym about 4 times a week and play a lot of tennis so I'm nice and active and want a good all round multi sport watch with GPS.

I am a little bit more partial to Garmin myself, but I haven't done my due diligence on Polar to give you a great recommendation though. I think you will be happy with the Garmin

Hi I wanted to ask your opinions on this watch vs something newer like the Fitbit Charge 6. Im getting this for my wife for HR broadcasting on Zwift. I just found out fitbit is subcription based so was looking at this watch because of the price. I know its older but would it be good?

Hi there! How is the step counter accuracy? I've had a huawei band 6 but if I sway from side to side it says I literally walked 600 steps. I currently have the Huawei band 4 and very hesitant to replace it as I'm scared the step counter is not accurate. Any tips?

I mean it's hard to get an exact country for your steps unless you get a step counter placed around your hips. I'm general Garmin is always pretty accurate with steps. Hopefully that is helpful

Am I being dumb or did you not cover notifications? How messages from different apps appear and how you're able to deal with them is important. For many people a smart watch is simply about not having to reach for their phone every few minutes to respond with a "Thanks" or "Okay".

Very similar, but much better battery life on the Gamin. Some things like quick responses won't be available tho

The only way to do it is to stop what you're doing and measure it while standing still

Is this the Garmin Venu SQ non music variant? If so, does it able to control my spotify (play/pause/next track or volume) on my phone? I can try. I think the biggest thing that is going to factor in is screen and battery life and what you would consider being more important between the two. Are you looking for something that is more like a smart watch, but can track activities well. Or are you looking for a fitness band only

It is compatible with some chest straps. If you have the App it's located there if not I would contact Garmin about what ones are

I think the Garmin Forerunner 55 is a great choice for you. That or the Venu SQ, but I do think you will like the 55 more

@@FitnessWithFrost Thanks for your recommendation! i already look at Venu SQ, why you prefer forerunner 55? because i look on Garmin Venu SQ, it got more sensor (Garmin Elevate™ wrist heart rate monitor, Compass, Accelerometer, Thermometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Pulse OX Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitor) and foreunner 55 only have (heart rate monitor,Accelerometer)

Even though it doesn't have an altimeter I heard that it still uses GPS to estimate elevation change. Is that what you understand?

I've been using my SQ for a few weeks now. When it uses GPS to track outdoor activities (running, biking, SUP, etc.) it then gives altitude info based on your mapped coordinates on the Connect phone app. No live readout that I'm aware of though.

Dude this video just saved me allot of money... Definitely not buying it now lol. But not in a bad way. This thing does everything amazing to track your fitness and I'm terminally ill so I have to have all of these logs and be able to email them to Drs or specialists And also not being able to pay with the watch was kinda big for me. I have a few medical credit accounts plus my credit and debt cards. It's so nice to be able to toggle thru and just pay instead of having to carry each card. So unfortunately I needed a Samsung watch. Didn't really want to spend the money on it but it's what I needed. If you just want a personal monitor that you track for yourself this is an amazing watch! Just can't do it...
