Their media team should get be awarded for best cinematography covering a marching band marching into a stadium because they catch every little nuances that makes "The Human Jukebox" a brand and great attraction for Southern University.

Omg. I was at this game and they was absolutely amazing!! Memphis state fans kept bragging about the band all day! I said yep I drove all the way here just to see this band!!

That Purple Carnival was damn good. This is from a M100 member. I cant understand all the negative energy from their own fans. The Jukebox looks and sound fkn amazing to me, and our band history doesn't allocate that kind of support for each other. I'm not a band head for bashing and choosing sides. Each band brings a unique style and energy that exemplifies the culture, and history from which they come from. No other race of people in the United States can emulate or duplicate what we do. Gods amongst men. Support each other and stop ya damn crying.

We have had 4 band directors in the last 4 years.We have gone from Greggs to Jackson to Haymer to Taylor.Taylor has to make his imprint on the band.He's doing well,but we seem to lack the mean streak and belligerence or showmanship that Haymer.The band maybe slightly more balanced which is a positive.I am a noticing more racial diversity in our band too which probably or surely makes a difference.I thought the band got stronger as the season and competition intensified.I expect that to happen this year.The band was great in Houston.They held back at McNeese and in Memphis.Don't expect a lot against Edward Waters either.Let's reserve our opinions until the FAMU game in Tallahassee.

Starting at time 18:14 is when U see the flowered plumes on the U of Memphis band members hats starting grooving........those are the black band members who knew they phucked up, and how long the day was gonna be, and who wished at that point that came and marched in the SWAC instead :) :) :) :) :) :) . #LuvDaBoom

All y’all stop hating on SU. If you haven’t heard them in person stop talking. I have heard them in person at the battle of the bands. Nobody was on there level. Miles college was the only band that came close to there sound. The rest of the bands in the SWCA are not pushing at all at this time. PV is the only band that came up and they pushing now. Still not on SU level but they push more than the other SWAC bands.

This was the most boring stuff Ive seen of SU. I know it wasnt SUs fault though. Some of these other colleges are simply petty with the way they operate when it comes to visiting bands. From cutting the Halftime show to 4 minutes to stopping SU in the middle of songs. I seen what happened to LSU in Texas also with Texas putting LSU in the nose bleeds! SMH....... That’s how you know your band is poppin!!!!!

Something’s missing. I don’t know what it is but something is not here. I’m not going to say that it’s because of the directors because I know B. Simmons is certified. Real Jukes and die hard Juke fans help me out on this one. All I know is come November when they’re in Jackson, MS they have to bring fire, don’t feel like hearing my JSU buddies mouths for an entire year.
