This is a basic rundown of the song, When My Train Pulls In, by Gary Clark Jr. It's not necessarily a note for note transcription, and I didn't do the solo, but the chords and main riff are here.
Interestingly, it's a pretty straight 12 bar blues in E minor. The riff covers the part of the i chord, while the iv and v are pretty straight.

Really nice to discover new music, such a cool groove I had to go and check it out for real. Loved it, right up my street. On top of that a great lesson also Griff thank you! Talking of new blues with great grooves check out Joanne Shaw Taylor -Going Home and Mud Honey, both great songs with catchy lick licks in a similar vain.

I'd heard of him but never got around to hear any of his music. I find this song is an easy to play for just about any one with a guitar. OK, I saw your example from an email. Now that I've listened to lots of his work I'm finding it kind of boring. You give a good lesson on this song, Thanks.

I'm sorry I didn't write it out for fear of the copyright police. However you could grab it from ultimate-guitar or something and it should compare similarly to what I've shown here in the video.
