I've been a musician since 1963 and I've seen many of the greats live like Jimi hendrix, BB king, Jeff beck, and many many more. Gary Moore in my opinion is the greatest guitar player that ever lived and this performance is the greatest guitar performance ever recorded.

Saw Gary 3 times. He was passionate about sounding fantastic with no mistakes and making the experience a special one... Nothing mediocre about Gary he knew what he was doing

Brings a tear to my eye every time I see this to remember what a wonderful talent we lost with his passing.

Gary was an incredible guitarist and while he loved Peter Green, he also did a tribute to the great Roy Buchanan.

I have been a musician (bass) for over 60 years and I've heard many of the greats live including Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Jeff Beck, Ted Nugent and many more and IMHO Gary Moore is the greatest guitar player that ever lived. And this IMHO, is the greatest guitar performance ever recorded, hands down! Every note he chooses is perfection, and every technique is flawlessly performed with taste and grace. God Bless Gary Moore RIP, brother.

So glad that a reactor has at last played one of Gary Moore's great live performances. He was a legend and saw him playing with Thin Lizzy. He also performed a much earlier version of Over The Hills And Far Away later to be covered on various occasions by Nightwish.

What makes it more amazing is that Gary Moore was left-handed, but played like a right-handed guitarist.

It was the year of 1990 and the date was May 1 location Concert Hall in Gothenburg, Sweden. On the stage was Gary Moore whom at that time was my like idol. This song was the last encore he did and what a performance!! He played with so much emotion, passion and even improvisation. A performance i will never forget.

The Skidrow he played with probably isn't the Skidrow your thinking of. You should do a reaction to the writer of this song one of the greatest never heard of guitarist (R.I.P.) Mr. Roy Buchanan.

Gary Moore was a fabulous guitarist for sure! Thanks for this one. If you want to check out another bass-a## guitarist from Ireland, check out the amazing Rory Gallagher. He was a legendary live performer who could make his battered Strat do almost anything. A couple of great performances to check out are "Calling Card" 1997 Hammersmith Odeon and "I Wonder Who" 1984 Belfast. Rory, who passed away in 1995 at the age of 47, was actively recruited by the Rolling Stones when Mick Taylor left and his fans include Slash, the Edge, Brian May, Alex Lifeson and many more. You won't be disappointed!

"It's got a Dire Straits feel to it". What? Are you serious? Mark Knopfler cannot play with this kind of passion buddy.

Tobias Forge (of you know... Ghost) went by a pseudonym of Mary Goore when he was in some of his earlier metal bands. edit: I got the bends right now. I saw a comedian make a similar point about AI writing jokes (John Mulaney maybe). He said essentially the same as you: people aren't interested in the output alone. They want to know that it came from a person and is connected to their feelings. You think i want bottled j*zz from a robot hose?!

When i was 12 years old i started to play guitar....Then, it became my passion....At 14 years old, discovering all the guitar heroes, with my friends, we were always laughing so much, because, we dere watching videos, and, Gary is bending his back so much, we thought he was going to broke his own back😂And his face😂But, what a guitarist! Magic! The holy trinity of the white bluesmen, with Eric Clapton, and Steve ray Vaughan....But, unfortunetely, he's like Van halen, and guitarists like that, only, playing very fast, and, always, playing, exactly, the same!😢That's why, even, if they're very impressive, it's, absolutely not, the same crazy level as the gods like HENDRIX, OR PAGE....(playing very fast, is the easiest thing to do on a guitar! Only, training!) But, it's, still, fantastic....Peace from France 😂(PS: it's, really, not good to mix different alcohols, and smoking weed on it😂VODKA+BEER+WEED😂NO GOOD).....✌️
