If you watch the game, look at the stats, and looked at the teams, Chelsea should have won that game and for it to be a cup final, you either play to win or don’t show up. At no point during that game did they look like winning or really in a position to get over the line. It was just a question of how many chances would City take rather than can Utd actually do anything, they were almost a non-factor. It doesnt mean failure, it means failure when success is either expected or the more likely outcome due to a lack of courage or conviction. You can argue that United lacked the latter on Sunday, but the former, they were given no chance, KG and Flex even called it 'Sacrifical Sunday' for goodness sake. Serious question, do you lot even watch football matches anymore? I used to love the Kick Off but it’s just unrecognizable nowadays. Do you not understand that Neville called Chelsea bottle jobs because half of Liverpool’s players on the pitch in extra time basically had no first team experience at all? The fact that Chelsea were playing for pens and not trying to win the game in extra time against that team and what had transpired in the last 10-20 minutes of regular time is where the “bottle job” term came in. Really doesn’t matter what the “average age” of the teams are when one of them is full of players that were playing academy games a week before compared to players that play in the Prem every week and almost all individually cost upwards of 50M.

United’s first team is not bad but issue is that we do not get to play our best 11 together at all. We played without a left back for most of the season, we only had one fullback in the squad, we don’t have a right winger garnacho isn’t more than a squad player and is being bullied vs the big teams, we don’t have a replacement for hojlund, the mason greenwood issue killed our attack, casemiro is old and other than the 18 year old academy boy in mainoo we don’t have a number 8. We need at least a center back, a fullback, a 6, a right winger and a back up midfielder
