@@auntisthenes2754 directors need to avoid scenes with actual eating unless they are capable of shooting them in a couple of takes. Producers need to avoid hiring directors who can’t. Public needs to avoid watching TV which paralyses the brain.

If the actors want to go "method" and blow a fuse or simply indulge a bulimia fantasy in some SM relationship with their Master, no skin off my nose... Any seasoned actor likes a push but also pushes back. Or throw darts at the director during interviews.. Coming from people like Oldman, the dart instantlly feels like a dagger : " Is that guy serious ?" . make no mistake, Oldman was game !
