He shares how the health battle came only months after his wife, Moira, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, detailing how he navigated the difficult time. Gary Sinise is one of the greatest Americans living today. Such an honorable and generous of men. He is right up there with Keanu Reeves. Both have endured tremendous losses. I am so sorry about the loss of your beautiful son. When listening to those who have had Near death experiences, about three have reported that Christ told them that they must tell everyone that, “ Remember, tell them that there is no death.” I deeply believe that. Only a thin veil between us and them. I hope you are able to read this. God bless.

⁠@@gabrielapratas6858 When you are offering condolences to a grieving father, it is egregious to mention that his son is a sinner. Maybe his son was an angel, compared to you or me. Your words to me on my great losses would sting, Does anyone really think they know why God permits suffering ? I just don’t believe so. Mother Angelica once answered by saying that suffering is caused by our sins. That is extremely facile to say. Babies, children and , yes, His little ones, the animals suffer greatly. Why does an innocent baby get an aggressive cancer? You don’t know, and neither do I. Wild animals have very difficult lives, trying to find food and shelter. Why should they suffer? We call the Lord a kind and gentle, and yet his permits the worst suffering on earth. We know he can remove a child from harm’s way as a moving car bears down.Yes, miracles do happen every day. Why not more? I have Chinese relatives who suffered as Mao and his troops came from the North, starving his village. The faithful Catholics have suffered under Communism since 1949! They have been in prison, been tortured, been killed. Many are suffering as I write this. Why does a loving God permit this. Do you know that many Jewish people today are atheists? They cannot believe why a loving God would permit the Holocaust.

It's hard to comprehend how a man who has been so good to so many people should have to endure what he has. It's one of those "Life isn't fair" moments. Mr. Sinise and Mrs. Sinise- this retired nurse is recalling my beloved hospice patients who have died and as a devout catholic- thanking God there’s a life for us in heaven. Widiwed at age 39 with three children- this now 76 year old recalls her late husband ‘s profound words- ‘we are only here on a visit’ . All of us- together forever in heaven. I’ll be praying for Mac and your family. God bless you all and thank you for what you do for our servicemen and women.

Gary is an incredible man. His acting was one of the best and he never received the credit he deserved. He used his platform to promote all of work he has done for Wounded Warriors and disabled Vets. My heart goes out to this amazing gentleman. I went through my own years of hell when everything seemed to come crashing down on my family. At times I was so desperate that when I was alone once I fell to my knees and screamed, I am ashamed of that now, but I was approaching the end of my rope. This man is amazing and to go through so much and remain the strong honourable and decent man he remains is inspirational.

I lost my first son to SIDS, my only sibling to brain cancer at 45, my only daughter to fentanyl and my first grandchild, born on my birthday, I was in delivery with her. She was hit by a hit and run driver, I held her hand as she passed. I'll see them all again.

The only silver lining to a family member or friend having a disease that will indeed take them is having the opportunity to say goodbyes and such and to savor each moment, as for other people you could go at any time and we always take for granted as if tomorrow is promised so we don’t savor moments and say I love yous. Not much of a lining but it’s something. I’ll be buying the album. Maybe they can license for movies too.
