Luka Šamanić has the attributes to be a starting caliber center in the NBA. He is SLEPT on because he is run at PF. BUT, he can 100 percent start at Center especially with AD backing him up. He has physicality, versatility, and a high basketball IQ. He’s 6'10", his agility and wingspan allow him to guard multiple positions. And he can stretch the floor with a reliable three-point shot. He is only 24 years old! (Turned this year) These averages are based on slightly old data and they might be slightly behind: In games where Šamanić has started, he averages 14.5 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. Per 36 minutes in starts, his averages rise to 18.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks, with shooting percentages of 48.2% from the field and 35.7% from three. Last season, per 36 minutes, he averaged 17.8 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks. His career highs include 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 blocks in a single game, showcasing tremendos upside. Player Efficiency Rating (PER) of 19.3 and a Defensive Box Plus-Minus (DBPM) of +1.8 Not to mention his off-ball movements and decision-making with show extremely high IQ. IMO he solves a big chunk of the lakers problems and is on a 2.5 million dollar expiring contract.

@AustinMulkaMusic Dude, you're a clueless casual . You don't evaluate a player's abilities and skill level based on a few games - you base those things on their career stats, or at the very least their stats from the past two or 3 seasons. And I'm pretty sure you were talking about Luka Samanic before, but both Luka Garza's and Luka Samanic's career stats and their stats from the last 2 seasons are across the board bad. and Garza averaged 4 ppg in 4 mpg the playoffs. Just because a player scores one point per minute in limited usage doesn't mean they're going to score like that if given more minutes - in fact in generally is the opposite. Any player can hit a couple 3's or make a couple dunks in 2 to 5 min - that doesn't mean they're going to average 25 to 30 ppg if given 30 mpg.

Thought experiment: The Lakers look like they're running it back. But running it back includes getting players that had minimal contributions last year hopefully back in the lineup. So the question becomes, if Vanderbilt, Vincent, and Christie were being brought in from other teams and we lost pieces that contributed as much as they did last year, would we not call that a fairly successful summer when combined with nabbing Knecht in the draft? That's potentially four useful rotation players you're adding to the team and you're really only losing Prince and Dinwiddie.

Lebron & AD Olympics will have a major impact on this season. Pelinka number 1 target should be a high utility scorer that can win you games when AD and/or Bron is out some nights (Grant, Lavine, Kuzma). Then fill in the remainder of your roster with high end role players (AR, DLo, Vando, Rui, Gabe, Christie). There’s a space where both can happen if Lakers make calculated moves. ‪🤔🤔 The fact that Lakers looking for a 3rd scoring option signals that AR isn’t the answer correct…..? If AR was Lakers 3rd scoring option then Lakers would only be looking for a trade to enhance spots 4-8 not (Lavine, Grant, Kuzma or Cam). Interesting! ‬

Blazers have no need for Rui, DLo, or Vanderbilt. The only player the Blazers might want is Dalton Knecht or Max Christie, but that doesn't work with salary. Blazers don't have any real incentive to trade Jermi Grant at this time. Plus, there young guys can still use a veteran like him on the team. There's no future for DLo, Rui or Vanderbilt on the Blazers, they have other younger players they already on the team they prefer over them. They probably even like Matisse Thybulle over Vanderbilt since Thybulle is not as offesively challeged and can make 3's too

We played the fuckin Champs first and lost winnable games cause of Ham. We will be in a better spot at the end this year. Stop hating on DLO and Rui. Rui will improve and DLO is a bucket. Vando, and Knecht project to play the majority of SF minutes ( unless one of those guys are traded. and, Max Lewis has been making a case for playing time consideration. maybe move Knecht to the G-league if you feel he isn't ready). Everybody is always an option until those people are not. Lebron at 40yrs old plus this incompetent and understaffed front office is not appealing to free agents and trade candidates. Not even the thought of playing with AD, if Bron is injured or after he retires, is good enough. Add in a 1st time head coach at ANY level and we are not a destination. The Laker brand is a fading light and it hurts to say that being a fan for over 35 years. JJ and the FO is going to have to prove otherwise in the coming years to get back that luster.

Don’t try to bring a guy in to score like the guys we have on the team already

I'll take GTJ. I doubt Rob can get it done though.

Rob not going to do anything 😅stop all those. They don’t want to trade any picks either. Those minimum guys we don’t want are staying and no one wants DLO. This is our team, simple as that!

Dinwiddie would be better as our starter and Trent as the backup! Tyrus jones is undersized and he would get cooked in the west just like D Lo and Austin! Im good on him

Every time someone comes up, you guys talk about their defense or lack there of. But y’all are obsessed w keeping Austin Reeves like y’all make no sense. This is why no one wants to play for this team and their fans!

Gary Trent Jr is a waste of time for this team. It won't work. The Lakers don't need more offense. We need defense, and in particular, a player that will hide our faults. Trent Jr. Sounds like a move designed to make Pelinka look like he is doing something, not what we need, just something. Laker nation, don't fall for the bait and switch.

I can’t believe you’re making a video about Gary Trent jr. He’s absolutely no different to the bums like wesley Matthews and others we’ve had in recent years. He doesn’t improve the team at all and the downfall of the lakers is hilarious. I am a Lebron fan first and it’s hilarious how bad lakers after after 2010

Drastic self IMPROVEMENT, & a hard look in the mirror, & the mamba mentality will become CLEARER 🔙🔚🔚🔜( keep the team as it is! How about mfs truly work on their game, instead of just accepting the FAME 🤔🤨🎃 & actually love the game obsessively!
