At his age (59), he can still dance and belt with the best of the new generation artists like SB19 (He did WYAT dance with SB19). This is the music of the 80s. He has a Puertorican blood and he likes rhythms like this. He did mostly POP songs, TV and movie theme songs and gospel songs. He is one of the best. His wife is a singer too and I think the daughter got their talents. They had a duet during his birthday not sure if in ASAP too. He is a product of school glee club. Ogie (Regine's husband composer singer) and Ding-dong Avanzado ( father of Jada with Sb19 Pepsi ad) both from the glee club too younger batch and they look up.to Gary as their Idol.

Hard to believe Gary V is pushing 60, isn’t it? He is forever young! He’s been performing on stage since elementary school and yes, knows no other way of doing stuff. Back when he was just starting in the 80s, he was the “good boy” to another artist who pushed OPM boundaries by making rap mainstream, the “bad boy” the late Francis Magalona. They had an epic concert in Ultra that turned into a mega-party. It’s still floating around on KZfaq and I hope you can watch it!

This man is a beast! In the 80s and the early 90s he ruled the Philippine pop scene. His contemporaries were Regine Velasquez, Martin Nievera, Jaya, and Lani Misalucha to name a few. Those names live in the hallowed halls of OPM history as some of the best and the brightest. They all have one thing in common: they treat their voices like instruments. Absolute beast each and every one of them. Incredible live performers - but I think by now, you'll have noticed that the hallmark of OPM artists is incredible live singing. I think that's because of artists like Gary.
