Pianist Chick Corea was also leader of Return To Forever, one of the original jazz/rock fusion groups in the early 70's, which was the starting point for guitarist Al DiMeola's career. Gary Valenciano became a mentor to Katrina Velarde when he took her on as a backup singer after judging a singing competition where she was a contestant.

I see you Angie, just let the music flow through your body, I was right there with you!!!!! Gary is the epidemy of allowing the rhythm to flow through ones body. Fun stuff. Can't imagine what it must have been like with him growing up and practicing this style.

Chick Corea took inspiration from a classical guitar concerto for the intro. If you want something unexpected, emotive and fire, check out KZ Tandingan's Rolling in the Deep cover on Singer 2018 (NOT the wish bus version). Then you'll want to check out her other performances on Singer too.

Gary V can spit bars too. He is a master vocal guru so he can do most genre of music. That’s why Katrina Velarde, his prodigy, has the best vocal agility in the world. Please check her out too. Best to see her own interpretation of this song “Spain” in her Latin Medley performance.
