The truth is, the idea of NFT has always been here, it's just never been something the average person could access. The public don't have access to DRM's codebases. In some cases DRM has installed backdoor software, and yet we all accept it if it means we get to play some hyped game.

You could pay someone for a song instantly and with a smart contract it would be distributed between the musicians, songwriters, producers and label (if any) in the contract. Today it takes months and you have distributors taking cuts. The tech def needs to be improved and get more widespread acceptance. It will be interesting to follow.
