Thanks Misha for sharing the spirit of the Ring. I’m so jealous because we don’t have anything like it. This is actually why I have the BRZ twin. I can have fun with only bending the law. I was getting into trouble with more powerful cars whose nannies kept me on the road. This car has a purity to it’s handling that rewards skill and is safe because she talks to driver about how she’s going to react to inputs or conditions. Hopefully Fast & Loud might do a few lightweight builds

Very impressed of the survival skills of the existing boxer engine in this car. Many people in The States blowing up those boxer engines for some reason. We do not even have a Nurburgring.

Its not entirely translatable, but I own a 2013 GT86 - so same basic chassis, albeit mine is down about 20 horsepower still on a GR despite mods, and I think that people don't realise that once you factor corners into your equation, its actually a really fast car. I've gapped basically every common hot hatch on B-Road runs. Now admittedly that's probably up against people who haven't taken their car near its limit before, but I think because that limit is so readily accessible in the GT86, you just get used to sitting it on or close to it and trusting that it's going to do exactly what you want it to and that translates to some truly rapid progress through technical roads.

h drive racing japan does a aftermarket shorter 6th gear replacment and a slection of shorter final drive ratio you pair that with ecutek tune and full fbo setup the gr86 should be able to reach its true top speed and fully utilize its power on track.

Momentum is key with a low power car, but that's the fun part extracting every last drop of the performance 😎

Id just get a shorter 6th gear ratio. Power seems okay until 6th. Maybe both a shorter final, and 6th gear could get the best of both and still have a high top speed of 240kph on redline.
