You get a placement in IITs only when you put the course knowledge studied , into some useful practical aspects of solving a problem . The IIT tag brings the big companies to your doorstep but doesn't provide any keycard to enter into those companies . You MUST focus on your concepts taught to you in coursework and put them to some good use if you want good placements . Shrenik sir is absolutely right about what he told about MTech in IIT . ❤✌

There is no such criteria but if u have gap year they might ask for a reason what were you doing all these years so if u have a genuine reason there is no issue
