We stay at this lovely Certified Location with a difference in between Birmingham and Coventry in the West Midlands, two miles from the Warwickshire border. Handy for the NEC and visiting Hatton 21 Locks, National Trust & English Heritage properties, parks and picturesque villages.

Hello Pete and Sue, Hope you’re keeping well. 100% agree serviced pitches do rule, you can’t beat home from home plumbing ✔️ 😂 . Pleased you enjoyed our latest video, basking in the sunshine and taking life easy on this trip. Saying that we would have liked to walk too but the historic properties proved tempting and we are pleased we visited them. Like you say it’s our history. As for the planes we soon got used to them and it was quiet during the night. But not for everyone. A very reasonable £20 / night for fully serviced hard standing though. Hi Rob & Gail, when you arrived on site we thought hello, the aqua roll might be coming out here, but what were we thinking? the home from home plumbing was assembled and operational in no time but the 25m EHU was summoned and not your favourite 10m. Great looking site, handy for the planes (up our street) healthy grub on the table as always too. Loved the look around Kenilworth castle (lucky ducks). Beautiful National Trust properties too. You ought to know us by now Dave 😀 would have been in trouble as we don’t own an aqua roll ! Smashing little CL with very nice owners but alas no facilities. Knew we were on the flight path but for some reason thought the planes would be higher up 🫢 . Now realise we would probably enjoy the military aircraft at The Willows. Would have liked a walk into Knowle village but although we had beautiful weather we did have one rainy day. Great holiday though. All the best to you & Helen, Rob & Gail

We always have a lot to pack into our five night stays and on this trip had just the one rainy day. We loved it at Gate Farm and it comes highly recommended (if you don’t mind using your own facilities). All the best to you, Rob & Gail 😀

Hi there Lily & Bruce, Thank you for your kind support. We love everything about caravaning including eating in, especially if we have a good view. I always enjoy toast done under the grill in the caravan, hence I call it ‘caravan toast’ 😁. Gail has Brasher walking boots. She says they are super comfy so can highly recommend them. Just back from a week at Chatsworth extended due to storm Babet, brilliant week apart from being evacuated up to higher ground of the house car park on Saturday night through the escape route arch opposite reception only to return to site on Sunday, nothing compared with what the residents of Baslow and Chesterfield went through though.Brilliant video as per usual, difficult not to smile throughout.Best wishes to you both Chris and Mrs D 👍

Hello Chris & Mrs D, Good heavens that was an ordeal for you but thank goodness you returned safely back to site. As you say lots of floods close by causing lots of damage, we saw it on the tv. Pleased to hear you enjoyed your holiday despite the storm. Chatsworth is so beautiful and the estate is an attraction in itself. Good evening Rob and Gail , I hope you are both well, your front garden looks fantastic Rob but I wouldn’t expect anything else from you 😊 The site you stayed on was nice and quiet , I think my motor mover is on its last legs it struggles a bit and I have a brand new battery fitted , I’ve given it a good spraying with WD40 , I will see how it’s goes , there is a picture of my van on my KZfaq page , take care all the best Phil

The CL looks great, aircraft wouldn't bother us as we are under LBA flight path 😀 Hatton lock's was a place we visited earlier this year, Spooky 👻. Still loved the tea and biscuits section 😅. We didn’t realise the aircraft would be so close but they weren’t overly noisy and in between the site was very peaceful. We enjoyed three lovely days out with our flask and biscuits (which by the way generates more interest than we ever imagined 😂). So all in all a good holiday. Hi Rob and Gail great video. Looks a good site and well worth a visit. If you do go back to the area the walk from Hatton Locks into Warwick along the tow path is a good walk about three miles each way and you can look around the town, race course or castle and make a day of it. If you get tired there’s a bus service back to the locks from the bus station (not Sunday though). We agree with you Kenilworth Castle is really good and the town is worth a walk around also. We were away at the same time as yourselves but on the East Coast at Cayton Village CAMC, which I know you’ve been to recently.

Hello Stephen, What a good week to be away at the seaside with the mini heatwave. Cayton is a lovely site with great wardens 👍, we loved it there and hope you had a good time too. Thanks for the tip if we re-visit the Hatton Locks area. We love a good walk. Gate Farm comes highly recommended from us with lots to do. As usual not enough time to do everything.
