1999-2002 S series - Poor ground connection on the small braided ground wire from the ECM to the left strut tower. Solution: Take the ECM mounting bolt that connects the wire out and sand all surfaces and reconnect the braided wire. If that doesn't work try changing throttle position sensor. May work for other makes.

I have a Damon intruder 1995 Ford series motorhome and the gauges are not working I just bought it from a salvage it runs very good the. Gauges are not working at all could be a fuse there is no check engine light on a matter fact there's no lights on the dashboard could be this problem

When this happens, usually it's time to replace the whole gauge cluster. That's what I've discovered with my 04 honda civic
@jamesbaucom92953 жыл бұрын
@@solowonabeat don’t tell me that I have the same problem he did lol. No gauges come on nor do the lights. It does have a backlight and the turn signal lights illuminate but that’s it

@@minisfraud2739 The tiny solder connections behind the instrument clusters crack and fail. I just redid the solder connections on my GMC Sierra. There are dozens of repair videos showing how to do it on KZfaq. I set up a fancy soldering iron station, with one of those stand magnifying glass/light things, a silicon mat, and some high quality flux, very fine rosen core solder with the right alloy mix. I watched all the videos to make sure I would do it correctly and not screw up the instrument cluster. There is some technique involved and timing with the soldering iron. There are guys that will repair your board for you if you mail it to them, for around $100. Apparently American car companies have no idea how to solder these boards to make them last more than about 8 years. The solder simply fails. I redid about half of the 100 or so solder joints on mine, and it works like new again. My cluster was completely dead except for one little light. All the lights, gauges and digital displays were dead on mine. Maybe I should start rebuilding them for people as well. Once you get the right tools and a little practice, it is easy. I didn't want to send my instrument cluster through the mail, so I chose to fix it myself.
