Let me take you across my first Trek journey which started and ended after a 7 day trip at Dehradun.
On Day1: We reached Gangotri after a 12-14 hours drive from Dehradun railway station.
Gangotri is a part of Chota charm dham yatra of Uttarakhand and you can feel that essence in its air, as soon as you set foot here.
Majorly the stay options are inclusive of Ashrams and dharamshalas, where you can more be in sync with the vibe of this meticulously religious place and they serve as an affordable option for everyone's budget. However there are few good Hotel options available as well and GMVN Govt stay is also a viable and much sought-out option.
On Day2: We started our trek journey and reached first campsite i.e. Cheerbasa which was encircling beauty and calm on its own. Just on the banks of river Bhagirathi, it serves as a great meditative spot and the all surrounding pine trees, views of the Bhagirathi mountain range make it a great sight to behold. We immensely enjoyed our first campsite stay here.
