Can we all just take a second to appreciate that the middle section goes from 7/4 to 6/4 to 5/4 to 4/4 into the outro, yet Gavin smooths it all out and makes it flow.

The subtle finger roll on the snare drums in between taps on the rim... no other drummer thinks so creatively.

Really…he’s my favorite drummer. He’s playing an instrument rather than a noise machine and a big old time-keeping mass of wood, metal, and heads. It’s just different than every other drumming style.

Love how Gavin transitions so smoothly from 4/4 to 7/8, then to 6/8, 5/8, then back to 4/4.

I have to take a minute here and mention HOW HAPPY I AM TO SEE GAVIN on this channel. A humble request to Vic Firth to please continue to put up more of his drumming. Seeing him play to tracks is like an awakening of sorts. He's been missed dearly :) Thank you!

Just so graceful like a ballerina, it just looks so effortless never once does it look like he’s bashing away, but yet it’s just so musical every measure he’s the softest hitting drummer I’ve ever seen yet I’ve never heard so much music come from one man’s drum set
