@@frankievaccaro3216 no offense Neil’s great and everything but every time I see a comment like yours I can tell you just don’t look up other drummers ever lol. There are plenty of amazing drummers from the 60s 70s well into the 00s that smoke Peart; Huub Jansenn, Alan White, Bill Bruford, Simon Phillips, Chester Thompson, Martin Axenrot… the list goes on. Rush is cool… but you have so much other stuff to explore

@@magog6852correct. For instance Simon smoked everyone until Gavin came... 😅 Bruford is sensational as well. I love all the above mentioned by you and agree 100% with your statement. You didn't mention Vinnie that smoked him too. 😅

@@88omair CC are fine as they are, no need to put down other bands. I don't think Gavin would not be a good choice for them. Paul's style fits them perfectly even though it's much less "intricate". But if you have webster and those guitars, somebody needs to keep the house clean and Paul's simple yet effective beats are perfect for that. Also, I doubt that Gavin could play a full CC set just like that with the same intensity. He'd have to adjust his style quite a bit. Not saying he wouldn't be able to do it of course. Also, you are completely missing the point of CC. Their goal is not to be musical. And even though the guitar and basswork is incredible, their main goal is to be a rhythm bulldozer and I can't see Gavin adding something senseful in that at all, sorry
