I understand the logic of Sundowns' buying not just any but those with pedigree. It is simply to create competitiveness, I can ask Hunt this, if you have your best 11 in training competing with your DDC at training is your best 11 challenged to always give more than the target?

I'm one of those who follows S.A soccer and really have an understanding of the PSL. So I'm enjoying this podcast and never miss an episode. One thing I've noticed about coach Hunt though is that he likes Chiefs. He gives examples about how they win the league in 2014 and will talk about Chiefs players in the 70s. Then go on to talk about the fact that they have a huge fanbase and if they were doing well they'd be filling stadia... on the other hand it's rare to hear him talk good about Sundowns... he talks about Lorch being a great player but doesn't understand the game that's played at Sundowns. Then obviously talking about the core of Bafana being Sundowns players, BUT taking credit for developing them. Then always being sarcastic about the modern day football (Rhulani's way of play). He will never mention the fact that Downs won the league 8 times in the last 10 years, no he will only focus on the other 2 years when Chiefs and Wits won the league. I like coach Hunt and really like listening to him, but don't enjoy it when he's biased. It's not Downs fault that Mathews sell the best players. Again, without Sundowns, SSU might have been facing the Swallows situation. Great show Peter, but if Hunt says he doesn't wanna talk about other clubs then let him not talk about them. It's either he does or he don't at all. There should be a balance. Even when he's talking about the 4-4-2 formation, let him not bash the 3-4-3 or even any of the modern formations. Not every team wanna play direct/javelin football, but every team wanna use the width. Why bash it if it works?

Coach Rulani Mokoena has openly said he doesnt like Width.Why is it that Mamelodi Sundowns for past 10 yes dominating the PSL if they dont use width.Or let me say why is past three season Sundowns never uses width but they on Top of the league.So what can you say Peter? I So hope Mr Gavin Hunt can answer this one.

Being compact is only for defending. You need with when attacking. There is no world-class coach that doesn't use width

Mokoena ;Modiba ;Kekana;Williams when Sundowns bought them from Superport Gavin Hunt was not the Coach of Superpsort.The credit should go to Supersport for their Decelopment.Did Mamelodi Sundowns improve this players ?Have they been playing at high level CAF champions league and AFL.Thapelo Maseko is the only player Gavin Hunt coached from Supersport who went to Sundowns in that Bafana Bafana squad.

But Hunt have developed and coached a lot of young players. Look at Njabulo Blom, Matsheke, Ngezana, Mashiane and Ngcobo at his time at Kaizer Chiefs.

@@Sidlukotini85 .He coached them and improved them.I am talking about the interview on what Peter asked him that he coached the Bafana Bafana Sundowns players coming from Supersport.He only coached Thapelo Maseko one season.

He has a chance to take him on at least twice on the field and every time he comes short he will bring by up budgets and salaries. All the crap about wing play goes out of the window. He is a good coach in his own right but as a football purist I don’t want him on my bench. ( I don’t own a team - yes I know)
