Following the withdrawal, Israel continued to maintain direct control over Gaza's air and maritime space, land crossings, maintains a no-go buffer zone within the territory, controls the Palestinian population registry, and Gaza remains dependent on Israel for its water, electricity, telecommunications, and other utilities. I am not even going to west bank where occupation is still happening. So back to topic here, would you be ok if you're neighbouring country militarily controls you but your city "seems" beautiful?

@FM1990FM again, it's not a military occupation . Words are important (said as a non native English speaker...) Egypt and Israel established a dual use goods blockade as a countermeasure to Hamas. And evidently not enough to prevent the huge Gaza military effort, the tens of thousands of missiles and 500+ km of tunnels (and the sneaking in of informers about the most defenseless kibbutz and where their police were etc) . They didn't even prevent the Gazans obesity problem , so it doesn't seem a very strict blockade.
