Finally, a video were equipment was cleaned before it was worked on. No sand or debris getting on threaded parts. Also, not working on a grass lawn where every snap ring, small part is lost forever. No background noise, like people talking, kids crying or a leaf blower at full throttle 10 feet away.

So if the governor is at the right of the engine you turn the governor arm and little spindle clockwise/to the right/ away from the engine. And if the governor is to the left, you turn arm and spindle ... which way?

The answer to this question is totally unclear, not just on this video, but many. You can tell about the uncertainty given all the extraneous crap in this video.

My governor arm does not return to the forward or idle position towards the carburetor. It only stays open. What adjustment can i make for it to keep it springing back to idle?

Mine too, and it's not an adjustment. Something came unhinged somewhere.

Hi sir iam Tony Why my Honda generator Em650 keeps on pulsing whan the engin is on. Lights go dim and full and dim, full and dim, whT can b the possible fault for this generator. Please waiting for yr reply

A couple of things are possible. If it has a manual or automatic choke,slowly close the choke plate to reduce air flow. If the engine speed stabilized,you know it's running too lean on fuel mixture. Your carburetor may have an adjustment for that, until the carburetor has been cleaned,you really don't know if you're adjusting to compensate for partially blocked fuel jets,so clean it or replace it before you adjust anything. The governor spring or arm may be bent or stretched.

Not a shoulder bolt, this is a customer rectangular head bolt.

When i adjust the govenor and tighten the bolt, my buterfly wont return and if i loosen the nut a little ,than my buterfly returns but if i start the motor than the rp its over the roof..(btw im ajusting without a tachometer because at this moment a dont have one) and if i tighten the nut so that my buterfly stays on the correct position , then i can't control my speed ..any suggestions ?

I am having the same issue. I cant get my butterfly to stay shut and my rpms are through the roof. Did you ever get this figured out?

@@willgothard9300 no still have the problem.. now of butterfly stay in the same position and my rpm is almost ok i gues.. but i cant lower or higher my rpm with my speed handle, because the butterfly stay in the same position..

After adjusting and it's still in FULL RPM. That is usually something wrong with internal, like broken Governor.
