In this video I ramble for way too long about this year's april fools video where I tell convincing lies about Geometry Dash then go haha just kidding at the end. Some of the facts were partially true, so I figured I'd make a video talking about the thought process behind each fact and if there's some truth to them.
Sorry for taking so long to release this, I recorded it a few days after the initial video went live but then I totally forgot it existed haha oops

I actually believed the video for the most part until you went with the potbor and scratch part. From then on I had my eye out and quickly realized it was an April fool's. Great joke though.

27:10 I would say that your concerns are very reasonable, but letting people know that it was an April Fools joke by the end of the video and updating the title a day later to inform people it is a joke video is sufficient enough. You even made this video to let people know a good part of the video was actually true, which I realized by the Start Pos object and the Newgrounds chats. I also really liked the rick roll at the end, it sure was cleverly executed. Great stuff Colon!

These things are just the things that made me fall for it all, especially when paired up with your comment saying that you didn't get in time to make an April Fools video. You got me with this, and surely *A LOT* of other people, especially with the blue coin. Also, you're the only youtuber I know who actually puts effort into April Fools, more content creators should do that. 19:35 You did, Colon, you did. The explanation for the blue coin: the User Coin was originally intended to be just a Secret Coin tinted blue, hence this fake fact.

I think a lot of the map music in games like SMB3, SMW and Kirby's Adventure have a similar vibe to the Sans theme and could work well as background music for your videos

18:40 why would they be removed when those blocks are the whole point of electroman adventures, they show the new breakable blocks, ofc robtop wouldn't remove that, how would you not be surprised if they actually get removed at some point? 21:44 Honestly I like that there is a pink pad in can't let go there. It made me think "oh, there must be a coin around here somewhere, why else would there be a useless pad?" Since I was going for all coins on levels, it helped me figure out the coin without looking it up.

they weren’t there in the og, and electroman adventures is barely based on breaking blocks, there more of a side feature added so it can say it introduces a new mechanic.

Very interesting video! I knew some of these were real while watching the April fools video, but I wasn't sure about some of them. I have a question though: was it real when you said Robtop won't put the meltdown, world, and subzero levels in the full version of GD?

9:01 the textures blacking out actually happens under certain conditions. What conditions those are I have no idea.

The uncolorable saws, ground spikes and others were in 1.9 but we're unlisted in 2.0 in favor of their colorable versions. Except the thorn thing which is still useful because of the built in randomness I believe in 1.9 you had the blocks that had outlines and were solid + the ones without outlines, so having duplicate block sets for collidable + non collidable made it cluttered. The 1.0, full black, and toe brick blocks did not apply to this for some reason. Also a question: do you know what's the deal with the 20th block in the outline tab? Also Colon the hexagon force dual is not unfair, as you said just click to the music. Clubstep's gimmick is being misleading yes

It's actually possible to get object ID: 749 without some kind of special software to add it in the level. it's a glitch, ive had it happen a few times where i would place a few double portals and one of em would place 1 blue and 2 orange for some reason amd deleting that one would make the orange one stay. the only difference is that one can be saved as a custom object. but has the same behavior if u reload. PS: idk the specifics on how to perform the glitch. it happened randomly for me.

Fun fact: all game modes have some sort of counterpart that does the same thing but in a different way... except for the ufo, the swingcopter might end up being the counterpart of the ufo but I doubt it.

What's funny about the GD lite main level changes is that half of those levels weren't in gd lite at the time, and some of them still arent

20:31 I think he should add an option to toggle between the normal clubstep and clubstep without trolls so beginners will toggle it on but when knowing the level you can then beat it with the option toggled off edit from after three months: and maybe when you play the no-fake clubstep you are rewarded with only like 5 stars and 150 orbs and when you play the og clubstep you get all that other stuff and icon…

2:50 You can actually place it without hacks! You just tap on it while in the build tab with no object selected, and then you just place it like any other object. I didn't check it on 2.2 though, maybe it's fixed now.

fingerdash does say "Hold To Dash" if u die at the first dash orb part but it's not like the string that stereo madness and that other song uses it has color and it just falls into the middle of the screen and it doesn't fade in or out

you can get the 1.6 straight fly coin in stereo madness by searching up a copyable and then you have the original one in your own level that you can change

The object ID 79 is a beta block texture for some 1.4 blocks which was found in game files of update 1.3

The funny thing about the Clubstep spike jump is that it's FAR from unique to Clubstep. I've pulled similar stunts several times over in TOE 2 and even Problematic.
