And he is ACTUALLY on the ground, and if given the chance, would genuinely help the low and middle class Singaporeans. He doesn't come from an "elite" background like most PAP ministers, and you wouldn't be able to guess that by looking at how well-presented and eloquent he is, especially compared to PAP ministers. I was in disbelief when I found out he studied in the normal steam.

Even u in full Amry uniform u still manage to do surveys at Bedok reservoir regarding the jogging track and tiles. After two days the things is repaired. Its show a good personality that u try to do the best for Aljunied GRC.. ❤❤❤ And we celebrate lantern festival together with you Sir..

Good that Mr Pritam is circumspect and not euphoric over the results. It's true that there will be tough roads to navigate ahead, especially with the pandemic situation, but if you work with humility, industry and sincerity people will appreciate your efforts and be there for you in the next election. It's also time to consolidate your base and recruit more volunteers for the work ahead. All the best for your works in town council as well as in parliament.

You can hear his voice breaking a lot. Even though winning 10 seats is significant and praiseworthy, don't forget how stressed they will be to have to face such a huge responsibility. Yes, it may be their job but it must be very tough to be relied on by many. Also, remembering the reporters' names? That is pretty amazing. Good job.

@@agnesteo6235 its very difficult for an opposition to win a parliamentary seat in the West Side of Singapore, I think everybody knows that. And besides Jurong East is next to what is considered PAP's strongest stronghold, Jurong GRC, which is helmed by Tharman. So forget it. They won't go there to get thrashed and risk their reputation.

Mr Pritam Singh is always staying compose answering media’s question. Indeed a qualified leader for opposition material. Trust that the WP elected teams will be able to stand up to the WP spirit and continue the “hammer” in them. Looking forward to the teams representing in the parliament and their forte of listening and translating it into the parliament for fine tuning policies in order to better help Singaporeans the ground. Happy that they will as promised by PM get more resources to do so. Keep the flag high WP!

Mr Pritam, indeed you're rightfully correct when you said to concentrate on the other 40% instead of the 60%. Of cause, you're grateful to the 60% but you also intend to serve your best towards the other 40%, you're being pragmatic and thoughtful. You're not euphoric over your victory and admitted there's room for improvement, thus, you've shown the quality of a great leader. I'm confident you're able to bring WP to the next level and serve the residents of Aljunied, Hougang and Shengkok not only well, but better. And I trust you'll convey our voices across the parliament and strive for a greater balance, transparency and accountability of the government. All the best!

Since 2011 when Mr Low, Ms Lim, Mr Pritam and other members was elected, some members/candidates have served AHTC residents under HDB blocks. Unlike others WP members with volunteers have provided close-up, and transparent sincere services to residents. Whether improving ground work construction, issues, or voice up in parliament YOU will see their efforts contributed. Let's continue to give support to WP and their volunteers..

@@dalonyong1707 i don't think thats true at all. If anything, its the west siders who are too cautious and conservative. Look at the results for West Coast GRC and Bukit Batok SMC. But you're right though, HSK doesn't deserve to be in East Coast because he had no business there. The WP team at East Coast had been there for a longer time than HSK. As a Tampines resident I was seething with anger when I discovered he jumped ship to EC. What a judas move.

One sentence I heard Mr.Pritam said, that 40 percent whom did not vote for WP, "please do come ,see and talk to us". This shows how humble WP is. I have never heard the above from PAP. The "Pay and Pay Party" already proven that they are not approachable and the word " GRACE or MERCY" do not exist in this party. Guess I got to suck lollipop for the next 5 years with the merciless.

Too bad, he got no balls to say that. Or he just want to do easy job, talk only and boss around PAP. Don't tell me no talents to form gov, there are many many oppy party personnels out there talk big. Recruit them with their own standard of payscale they are proud of. They should follow him cos he is the Opp Leader. Make it decent like in any other countries where the opp leader contest in election to rule not just sit in parliament and boss around but no ability to do things, not even ability to recruit people. Pritam has to prove his worth to his worshippers like you that he is ready to govern. Do that work! Dont just talk, do easy job and boss around.

The win by WP is not a quantum leap. Agreed to tread carefully. Your respond answer to media is done superd(professionally & smart). Make sure the taking /handing of the town council is done properly. Lee HL have said to give the proper support & resources to the party that win Sengkang. Make sure this is given as per spoken in the coming days ahead. Hope that the Sengkang WP Team will grow stronger as they engaged the voters that did not vote for WP. All the best. Pritam and teams.

@@JM-qy5wu I partially disagree, that is why the democratic system in Singapore is flawed. Our current PM simply no balls to let him govern SG for at least a day. So it's not about Pritam not being courageous enough to request for himself to be elected as PM. Maybe he is more than capable to be PM, but he is simply not given the chance to do so by our current PM, so think before you speak. Think before you accuse people of having no balls, since it might not be true. You said so yourself - that Pritam is simply given no chance to govern even when he is already elected to speak in Parliament.

@@fashirahparvin7434 i think its too early to speak arrogance of worker party candidates. I would think that applies for PAP however. The arrogance of the grass root at the meet the people session, its terrible. I know they might be overwhelmed but... Could be alot less arrogant.

IMO, for GE2020, WP has done well and PAP has done well too with (i) a strong 2/3 majority mandate in Parliament and, (ii) with PM Lee having the political foresight to offer Mr Pritam Singh the official designation as Leader of the Opposition. It's a well-thought out political decision for the long-term interest of Singapore .... and, it is heartening indeed that Mr Pritam Singh reciprocated with his assurance that WP will be a responsible, credible Opposition and will remain loyal to S'pore and all S'poreans. I am sure that both PAP & WP will work together to face and overcome many new geopolitical challenges to safeguard the national interest and national security of Singapore.
