When you think about it, this makes sense - Obviously this is an extremely well-balanced animator, who is informed on every aspect of this character - most likely before those aspects even were revealed mainstream, such as gear 5. Certain frames, such as the final impact frames at 0:50 show that this artist has knowledge of what the show will look like in the future.

@@calzonel8642 I already know the live action is going to be horrible... netflix picked the most whimsical, cartoony, and unrealistic anime they possibly could and are trying to make it live action. I mean, we might not even be able to call it live action with how much cgi is going to be required. Theyre are just trying to ride the hype wave, and they arent even trying to hide how much of a shameless cash grab it is

Considering how relatively recent this new fight between Lucci and Luffy is, it's safe to say that this brutal animation was made in an astonishingly short amount of time And therefore I cannot say that this is an excellent work... it is a completely different level

I like how he snuck the joyboy pose into the impact frames near the end. 0:49 The camera work as well is amazing especially when lucci sent luffy flying through the glass globe, it reminded me alot of how studio pierot did some of the black clover fights just you know of course KIECA did it better. Seriously Toei needs to get this man hired. I'm praying Toei sees this animation.

@Ultimate Sora You say plot armor but this awakening was literally in our face to whole time. Like with gear third which should absolutely not make luffy stronger given that its just air in his arm, or how he can light his arm on fire with the red attacks (something he believes humans can do thanks to sanji's diable jambe) or kong organ literally generating new arms on him, also jet culverin which gets *_faster_* the more it extends which is not how that should work at all. actually just Gear 4th in general, puffing himself full of air shouldn't make him stronger but he thinks it does and so it just works. It didn't just come out of nowhere, it's been in our face the whole time.

This fan animation is epic. Fight is action pack and flowing with stunning visuals with little funny humor in it. The voice acting or voice editing perfectly fit in with the animation as well music that’s moves with fight and a course not mention perfect timing sound affects. This animation is insane and awesome, and fact you put on KZfaq for are entertainment is amazing, thank you for this stunning work of art, KIECA.

So well detailed that if you look closely at 0:04 seconds slowly you will see Luffy smoothly into gear 2nd that’s why it went sooo fast and lucci was having to try and sense where he was that transition and as well as the foreboding of the intimidating echoing Gomu Gomu nooooooooooo!!! Was clean because that attack with gear second is deadly especially post Wano with Advanced armament Ryou,Advanced Conquerors Haki Coating, and Gear 5 he’s hella strong now with that title emperor of the seas that’s mad respect Jet Pistol definitely hurt Lucci.

I agree with this from a viewer's perspective, but from a plot standpoint the amount of crazy stuff flooding in all at once when he activates his abilities just showcases Luffy's limitless imagination running wild.

Toei is known to put filler or extended scenes in their fights that werent in the manga. So I wouldnt write it off so quickly. And the person who does these animations works for Toei to some extent.

This is way better then the anime version. The anime while having smooth animation is too overanimated, adding way too much unnecessary stuff for padding. I bet if they did the anime seasonally instead of weekly it would be so much better.

I meant how gear 5 was being handled, 1072 was subpar but except for that all of the other stuff surrounding gear 5 has been as unoriginal and as shit paced as the rest of the anime.

@@etopiapk I apologise I'm not a native speaker and thought subpar had the opposite meaning, I loved 1072, there were no or really few reused shots and the only flashbacks while still worn out had an actual function except for filler. Everything else around gear 5 except for the gear 5 animations in 1071 we're subpar ( hope I'm using it right now).

lol i thought i was the only one who felt this way, everything in the anime was going too fast and hard to follow, it felt too sluggish for me. not hating on the anime but i know toei could've done better for an special event such as gear 5. i hope it gets better on the next episodes though
