The cap is reverse threaded so that when your torquing something down you don’t accidentally unscrew the cap and shut off the torque wrench.

Wow I got mine from my guy for $450. May have been a promo I think. But about the batteries. It’s better to leave them out anyway. Corrosion damage is an easy way to kill one of those. Leaving the circuit open will help that

600.00 bucks, but what a nice tool! If you wrench for a living, good tools make your work easier that’s for sure. Nice review!

Yup! Good tools arent cheap! The price hurt but I LOVE using this thing!

Too pricey for me, but maybe someday! I picked up some Teng Tools recently that seem pretty nice for the money. I can see how digital would save you so much time though.

Yup a lot of time saved, and makes the angles so easy. I hated trying to figure out angles the old way!!

Looking to pickup a Matco or Snap-On 1/2" flex head digital torque wrench how has yours held up?

Mine has been good, I do think the snap on ones may be better quality. I am not sure who makes Matcos

Yes just because this one those angles, the milwaukee does not do angle measurements!

I am 1.30 into this video and your comment on the reversed threads. I own a dig. Torque of matco... and well... you pull and your hand rolls in a dirrection that loosened the end cap. (I am not compaining about my tourque wretch but obviously thus "Gearhead" doesnt torque anything or he would know that reversing the threads was for those Real Techs to point out.... real hands on men that actually do the jobs correct first time and have that place where flag time inst even there.. . You are salary with perks and such.

lol wtf are you even talking about? You think I'm not a "real tech" that doesnt get my hands dirty? Either way your writing and sentence structure was pretty hard to follow but whether you believe me or not I am a real tech that works every day, I dont hit the end of my torque wrench on things to knock the battery holder loose. Sorry for paying attention? 😂

Also(More commonly) means Car enthusiast, or mechanical enthusiast. Even people into gear for their computer stuff use the term sometimes. I'm not worried about someone confusing my association lol

Why do they give a degree instead of just the final torque amount? Angle wouldn't give a consistent spec. Just another way to make it harder for people to do their own work on cars. Total bs

It's not so much about the final torque numbers, it's for torque to yield bolts that after a specific torque setting it's turned a prescribed amount to get the proper tension on the entire bolt instead of just the shoulder.

@@ronbowman4145 Thanks. I since looked it up. The angle turn actually puts the whole bolt under tension which I assume spreads the load it's holding better.
