One more comment: Note that Marcus made a custom Lancer with a flashlight attached to it. Ben actually told Marcus during the trip to Hollow Storm, “I wish the C.O.G. gave us flashlights to see in the dark.” Marcus told the kid might over light, but like you said Abz Marcus took the Carmine Bros. death heavily and I think the Rook’s idea inspired the custom Lancers attachment of light.

I will always find it funny that they gave Benjamin a longshot and planned on making him a sniper based character. Only for them to say "and burn out ass off with it." (A line from Marcus in gears 2). They only say that when they find a scorcher.

I think the worst part is Ben’s brothers hearing how he died. Ben wasn’t told exactly why Anthony died, and it’s likely because he’s so young. Clayton was probably told exactly why, and so he’d probably be told exactly how his youngest brother died as well. Same for the unknown Carmine brother

There’s a cutscene when you choose to train him he says there were four of us and nows there’s three so there’s another brother so that would explain why when he died tell my brothers I love em and then he dies

Wjy did they have to kill him off!!! I freakin love the character, he's so goofy and a colorful character. In a game that is all seriousness, we need someone like him to lighten the mood. R.I.P ANTHONY AND BENJAMIN CARMINE. I know they're just video game characters but I got emotionally invested in them for some reason.

Seeing someone who looks up to you and sees you as a hero it makes you feel like they’re someone who tries to support you on and off the battlefield and when they die you have to feel something on you understand they looked up to you and sometimes that’s enough to convince you it’s your fault obviously Marcus didn’t feel that it was his fault but he did feel something…

I've always felt like they missed an opportunity to have the player choose if he lived or died. They should have made it that in the beginning of the game if you choose training he lives and if you skip it he dies.

I dont like how the Devs continue to press Ben's supposed love for fire. He didn't say anything referencing it in Gears 2 and it was only Dom who said it. I still hope Ben will become the next sniper class for Horde in Gears 5. Since Ben's weapon was the Longshot.

Poor Benjamin, kid didn't deserve to die so horribly, at least with Anthony you could argue he's been in action for a bit, and he was older and shoulda known better, but Benjamin was just a young soldier wanting to impress his superior and didn't know better
