This marks one of the saddest and most powerful story arcs in my entire gaming history, spanning nearly 30 years. Thank you for making this compilation. I was looking for a good way to explain the magnitude of this to someone who has never played gears of war. This video did it. I appreciate you.

I think the hardest part for me was watching Dom loose the will the live after Maria died.

Every scene with Maria just reminds how hard Dom's life has gotten. Both lost their parents, their kids, everything. Now Maria is dead. Damm, Dom never caught a break. I'm looking forward to Gears of War E-Day, but I'm not looking forward to what happens to Dom's family when we play it. And these heartwarming scenes would be harder watch, considering what happens to Dom's family durring the war. R.I.P Dom, Mario and the whole Santiago family. 😢

10:45 the first time I played gears 2 I thought this was an actual reunion and she would help fight through the hollow then we see what she actually looks like and my mouth dropped in shock

0:12 plot twist: that Dream Sequence means Dom woke up in Heaven and Back. Maria’s Soul Already left her Body during captivity before Dom had to END her Suffering.

I never realized until now that the scene where they find Maria, the camera only focuses on Dom. If we saw Marcus' reaction to seeing her the twist would have been too obvious.

I love the Gears series(even Judgement)but Gears 2 is the only one of the series I’ve never revisited. It’s just a sad game😩

Man the worst deaths in Gears of War all time is Dom, Maria, Ben, Kim, Tai, Anthony and Chairman Prescott there deaths always bring me to tears of tragic sadness but, I honour there hero sacrifices every day wish they were with us after we executed Myarrh and kill off all the Lambert too but still it’s sad of losing all of them very sad do you all the miss them all too please tell me if you do!
