Queen Myrrah was the leader of the Locust Horde during both the Lambent and Locust Wars simultaneously, and then continued in the Lambent Pandemic with the remaining loyal Locust Horde forces. She led her people in an effort hoping to colonize the surface and to destroy the Lambent threat in the Hollow. To accomplish this, Myrrah demanded the genocide of the Human race after Professor Adam Fenix failed to find a way to destroy the Lambent. Due to her status over her subjects as the Queen, the Locust treated her with the utmost respect, dying for her if necessary. She was killed by Sgt. Marcus Fenix following the Battle of Pinnacle Tower and extinction of the Locust and Lambent due to Adam Fenix's Imulsion Countermeasure Weapon. At some point in her life, Myrrah mated with an unknown human male and had a daughter, Reyna.

I'm probably the only one that loved gears of war just the way it is and hate "remakes" and think that they should be lefted alone just as they are. I loved the way they looked, and making an ultimate edition takes away that unique and awesome look the original games had.

I know what you mean, they did the same with Sam in Gears 4. They should have used Gears3/UE model. I also wanted more/new voice lines. Both Carolyn Seymour and Claudia Black are about albeit I think CS has retired. Pay them ANYTHING for new VO work.👍 Glass half full as I say at least we have her and I'm 90% sure Sam will end up in rosta.

Glen Bowley I did notice she looked quite different, a shame! Carolyn Seymour will still voice Myrrah until Gears 6 which is good to know, nobody else would come CLOSE to taking her place. I suppose at least we still have the right voice, yes.

It was only a couple million..on the first day. It eventually turned to billions, if I’m not mistaken, by the time Gears 3 happens, there’s only a couple hundred thousand still alive. Humanity almost got wiped out

So the question is, did Myrrah go to war with Humanity because Adam broke his promise to provide the cure against Lambent disease or because Torres took Reyna and fled the lab without the Mother Myrrah and Niles lying to Myrrah that Reyna died during the escape?

Torres taking Reyna for sure caused her hatred for humans, but the reason for emerging was out of desperation because Adam Fenix couldn't find a cure for the Locust in time.

My question is, so, Myrah went to Adam and gave him a deadline to solve the lambency problem but, how did she even know who Adam was? Maybe Adam visited New Hope/Mount Kadar for a short while and they met eachother and that’s how she was able to contact him, let alone even know he existed?

I think that the very very high up COG leaders knew about the locusts. They knew about New Hope and what went down, so it would make sense they knew about the locusts. So since Adam was in on the very top secret stuff it would make sense that they would know each other due to him being assigned to delay an invasion. But from what I have read and remember, it should be him just stumbling upon it because of his wife. His wife went into the Hollows and discovered them.. Before they were ever together, he heard a story of creatures going around, so this made him more curious. Then one day his wife goes missing, he goes looking for her and finds her remains, which from there he met Myrrah and also learned of the Lambent, to which she gave him a timeframe to stop the Lambent and E-Day. I can't find the exact text that mentions that part with Myrrah, but I do remember reading about it many years ago, and other people do reference that alot as well.

Adam's wife/Marcus's mother discovered the Locust Horde 10 years before E-Day and wrote about it in her journals, but she was killed by the Locust before she could reveal anything. Adam traced her journals back to the Locust and that's how they met.

@@miguelruiz5502 No, it's just video game logic. It literally makes no sense. Even with armour, the hammer of dawn would've cooked her skin unless she has magical armor that can somehow completely dissipate heat. She was literally blasted directly with the hammer repeatedly, full on, but a knife was good enough to punch through her armor. Which, quite frankly, looks more like leather than armor.

I feel like the ending of Gears 5 isn’t really the end, queen Reyna is still alive, other creatures are too, I want the sequel but I hate fighting the big bosses like in gears 4 and 5, it’s just killing and I prefer the story.

What do you mean? She asked Adam fenix to make a cure for years, he never delivered because he was busy making the hammer of dawn to end the pendulum wars. She ran out of time and had to surface aka go to war with the humans to escape the Lambet. She definitely asked simply first.

In one of the books, she reveals that she did actually consider coming to the humans for help. But she realized that it wouldn't work for a bunch of reasons. The COG made the Locust through secret, unethical experimentation and kills anyone who ever finds out. If the Locust outed themselves to the world, the COG would either kill the Locust or subjugate them to keep their secrets. And even if the COG didn't create the Locust, humanity would never be able to accept them by nature and appearance. She was right, it would never work out. They would either be killed, imprisoned, or oppressed.

There's actually a lot of good writing around her character, but none of it is stated plainly in the first trilogy or the books. It's left as more of a side lore. That's due to the theme of the game - you're seeing the characters and really root for them, but if you look at the larger picture of humanity, it's clear they're actually the monsters of the story.

There's a great quote of hers in one of the books where she did, at one point, consider coming to the humans - but she knew they would never accept them. And she did ask Adam for help, but there was no way he could cure the Lambent without it affecting the Locust because the Locust are inherently Lambent to begin with.

I kinda hate they tried to spin her as sympathic in 4 and 5 its so over done in media now, as far as im concerned she did all this cause she felt adam broke his promise about a cure for emulsion, the whole daughter bit was just to try and shoe horn kait to be relevant, they couldve had a different spin to the new swarm queen being evolved from something not tied down to Myra or even a side effect from the emulsion exposure the whole bloodline arch with kait is just kinda goofy to me.
