Suddenly regular old heroic splits with master looting doesn't seem that bad.

I wish Blizzard was so dedicated to making their game as Method is dedicated in getting their wrld 1st.

This is super dedication and planning.

A vast majority of these tactics had to be done (e.g. coining certain pieces, equipping profession items) just to bypass the change of master loot to personal loot.

Method in Heroic Week: 1 - On the plate run everyone sets spec into dps and kill only the first boss 6 times and coin it to get the weapon so they can trade it later to the mains. 2 - 5 times Mekkatorque and Grong. To get 20 breath of Bwosandi for crafting purposes. These 2 were the least impactful bosses overall. 3 - Do full M+0 and 5 M+ in every single character they had to get 15 hydrocores. (75 dungeons in 2 days on average per player) 4 - Learn Engineering to craft a 400 engineering helmet, equip it then scrap it and unlearn engineering. 5 - Learn Jewelcrafting to craft a 400 jewelcrafting rings, equip it in both ring slots and unlearn jewelcrafting. 6 - Learn Alchemy to craft a craft a 400 alchemy stone trinket, equip it in both trinket slots and unlearn alchemy. Side note: To do this, Method had to completely empty the auction house in 3 different severs. There were not enough resources in the entierity of EU-Tarren Mill to level these 3 professions in all of their characters. They had to transfer 4 guild banks full of resources across from several different servers and Scrype managed the logistics. Method is about 100+ million gold in debt. 7 - In the cloth/leather run they killed Stormwall Blockade and Opulence because they had the least impactful azerithe pieces. 8 - The overall strategy to trade the BiS azerithe pieces is to kill the bosses which drop the worst traits first. E.G. Cloth characters that need the Clonclave of the Chosen azerithe shoulders will join a party that already killed Grong and Mekkatorque multiple times so they have the best chance to get it. 9 - In the cloth/leather run they killed and coin King Rastakan 6 times in a row to get the Staff in all of their alts so they can trade Jadefire masters staff later to the main dps casters. Joshpriest killed King Rastakan aproximetely 30 times. 10 - Josh doesn't know what the mail run did because he doesn't play any mail character.

This is insane how they managed to handle change from master loot to personal loot.

I bet blizzard loved this , the cost of transfers and shit.

On one hand, I understand why Blizzard did what they did, but they should have left an option to enable master loot. Maybe a disclaimer when you join a group? Even if they forced it to be enabled only during a guild run, would still be infinitely better than what it is now.

so the TL:DR version - Get ALL the crafted gear you can on your alts (x5) so you can loot trade to main characters. - All alts (x5) coin all their 6 coins to try and get a "bad weapon" from the early bosses so they can trade the "good weapon" from later bosses to mains. Basically get as much xxx ilvl items on alts on early bosses (+crafting) so you can trade items from later bosses to your mains. I honestly expected something like this to happen when forced personal loot was announced, just goes to show that if there's a way to get ahead then people will find and use it.

I dont understand. You can bonus roll the same boss, in the same week on same difficulty more than once? Next thing i dont understand is, why i have to kill boss with lower loot priority before the boss, which drops better gear for my character? I am little bit confused

Simply impossible, because, you need to have Engineering for equip the helmet, jewelry for equipe the ring and Alchemy for equip the trinket. you can't equip the three items in the same time

I feel like Blizzard has screwed something up if this is what it takes to beat the final boss on Mythic. This is a video game. What happened? How did we get to this point? The race to world first should be mostly about tangible gameplay. Do you use the right ability at the absolute perfect time? As this video demonstrates, it's not actually a world first race. It's a gear race. And the guilds who have the most elaborate gear plan are going to win.

This is the kind of shit that hardcore raiders have to resort to because of personal loot. This system is a fucking mess for anyone outside of Pugs and LFR.

This is not a good example of how the loot system is fucked. What Method does is extreme and not representative of 99.9% of the playerbase. If the loot system was different, I'd bet anything they'd go just as hard on that system to get any advantage available. I think removing Master Loot was stupid, but this isn't the reason why.

I must give credit for planning and executing, but... This is dumb. OK lets say like that. If you want World First this tactic seems amazing, they put alot of effort and planing, but in same time this possibility should not exist and probably other guilds did the same. They would finish that Mythic anyways but maybe 2-3 weeks. At least no one would cry about finishing Mythic in week or less.
