The geislinger coupling is installed between the engine shaft and generator shaft. This coupling is there for demping the vibrations/torsion of the shaft that are coming from the diesel engine. The coupling for this engine weights 2.4 Tons when it is empty in normal operation condition it is filled with lube oil that comes from the engine.
