Hi All ~ Happy Saturday ! These are things that I do with my Gelli prints and since So many of you liked that little trifold book I was working on a couple of weeks ago, I thought I'd show you how I make them repurposing my throwaway's from Gelli printing and more of the December Printables...Enjoy!

🤗I love your stained papers...great idea for the ‘extras’ from gel printing sessions! I’ll be giving some sheets from a previous print day a little attention but I wondered about using pomegranate juice as well as tea. Thought the dark red/purple would be a nice pop of color! This book technique is so simple but turns into a bit of elegance....😃

I just love this journal, you are just fantastic. Color makes me happy, so your neutral color scheme isn’t what I like to use. Having said that, I have to admit I really, really love this journal you made! It’s such a clever little thing, too, with pages and a pocket that pop out when you least expect them. Thank you for refreshing my weary spirit.

Thank you so much for sharing your process! I love these books! Some questions about the ribbons that tie the books closed... Are they just wrapped around & tied? Or are they fastened to the book? If so, how are they attached?

I run them through the long stitches that are from sewing in the signatures and tie a knot and them wrap the ribbons around and tie the journal close, that way the ribbon isn't separated from the book! :)

Yes they were but I put it on the lowest setting YT allows, What's crazy when I use to not monetize YT still put the videos on my channel and kept what little money the pay...lol So glad you enjoyed the video!

Thx Tania, it was a random mixture of black leather dye I had left over from a project and decided to try staining with it and I really love the color that came up, :)

Lovely... I just need to use my own material.. .struggling...wanting to find a group where people post original work, not just the esthetic of the leader. You do inspire me to look for my voice ..but not share in your groups!

Hi Wendy, Thx for sharing and I really respect where you're coming from, it is tough to find that balance I remember when I struggled with that on the path to finding my voice. It's not easy, and my goal is to inspire while sharing my best practices as an artist, and if I can share the single one practice that help me to identify my voice was and still is daily art journal practice! It made all the difference in me being able to hear my soft voiced muse, among the loudness of the art world. My best to you in 2021 and let's continue to find the magic in creating!

Another great video. Just thinking whatever happened to the books you were going to make out of the lovely travel journal book that you did? I know you asked if anyone was interested in purchasing copies and there were people that said yes please!! Also how’s your book doing? Ps. Yes it's in the works The book is at a professional photographers who will shoot and edit and then once back in house we begin the book design process, so it's in the works I'll keep you posted! Thx :)

online through second hand sellers like etsy or ebay the problem is that it can be so expensive these days try not to pay more the $20 for 100-150 sheets anything else is just too much I sometimes find it at the goodwill in their office section If you thrift keep your eyes open for it, otherwise tracing paper will work! :)
