As an exhibiting photographer of almost 40 years, I never liked gloss finish. I'm told that is unusual for a photographer. I never followed the mainstream. I've always been that way. It's not arrogance, just the way I was born, rebellious. My dislike of glossy finishes carried on into my artworks. Today, you have changed my viewpoint. Once the gloss medium was dry, it brought the piece to life.I can't see me using gloss on every work, but some pieces will be treated that way. I'm 76 but not too old to learn. Oh, yes, my Gelli plate arrived yesterday, I'm keen to start using it. All down to your inspiration. Thank you Fulton.

Canvas board has long been a favorite for collage, but for some reason I've been hesitant to attempt printing directly onto it because of extra unpredictability of it. I might have to try it again!

Question Fulton...is the black tissue paper you use so effectively just gift wrap tissue?

Would you gesso the canvas to get more absorbency from the paint?
