👌👍 This is the theme that brings me back to my #GeneralHospital roots hearing the show on during elementary school in the 90s when my Mom watched it! Probably also because of that it is my favorite musically. I just think #GH theme music hasn't been the same since it lost its orchestral horns sound. Shrug. I mean I will say currently it is much more modern but it's still sad to not hear the horns.

This one always brings a tear to my eyes. When they introduced it after so many years of the classic, I was resistant, but now, hearing the melody and seeing so many faces i loved it just gets me. Thank you!

My mom and grandma watched this all the time when I was little. The only thing my preschool brain could process was this opening. What a rush of nostalgia!

I don't even watch soaps but they always have good theme music lol.

I think this ties with the original for my favorite, even though I hated it as a teen when it was new. I particularly like how they reworked the original to fit the era's more sensitive mood, creating a new song while subtly keeping the opening notes & some other melodies. (Especially as opposed to the shift to the "dueling screechy randomly-off-key saxophones" version. I never imagined a theme song could be less subtle than an ambulance siren!)

I wish there was a full version of the song in this tempo. The original is so much slower than this one.

I always ❤️ this version and the mid 70’s - early 93 orchestra theme for that era. Not crazy about the newer themes for GH. Like so many other things soaps were better years ago I think anyways.

My mother loved #GH in the 90s to the early 2000s, she stopped watching in 2005 when someone got killed or something, I don't really remember; when I was growing up, whenever I heard this theme I would automatically figure out that she was watching #GH but I never knew that the building they used in the intro was real until 3 years ago when my aunt told me

This theme song stuck my head for some reason never really got into show my great gram loved it tho

I remember being SO little and when I'd hear this music, I'd know that it was a loooooooooong wait until Barney was on (it was, what, maybe a half an hour or an hour later?) But when you're, like, 3 it feels like forever. I genuinely came to resent this song and this show as a kid because in my toddler mind, if this show weren't on, Barney would be on sooner. Then in high school, I had a OLTL and GH phase.
