And you don't care that he died in process because 2 things. He was mortally wounded so he would be dead anyway. And exercise the daemon from himself is on itself a massive near impossible feat that is impossible to survive, and he use his rage alone to do it and not psychic abilities. (The exercises chapter don't count. They where demonhosts and later librarians exercise demons from them, with bigger chances to survive) but regardless it's doesn't matter sine he is that badass.

He's the god of martial honour, so a World Eater that can say "nope, fuck you" in the face of betrayal would be in his good books, and a guy who can say it with enough will to chase off a Daemon trying to control him would impress him. Besides, the guy is still bloodthirsty as hell, and so pleases him. It matters not where the blood comes from, only that it flows.

However multiple Thunder Warriors did escape and a different loyalist World Eater is heavily implied to have originally been a Thunder Warrior. I assume he was a test to see how easy it would be to just convert the TWs into SMs and decided it was just too expensive

Which alternate Heresy Angron is better? In the sense is it better Angron who is healed from the butcher's nails or Angron who never had the butcher's nails (example Blood Angels)? He who looks like a barbarian gladiator but is actually a rock of discipline and valor worthy for the World Eaters (and the Emperor)? (The Crimson Slaughter certainly doesn't need butcher's nails to create an ocean of blood) With his warriors, then finally with his sons, Angron manages to liberate the world of Nuceria and become its ruler. It would be clearer to say that: Angron is saved and raised by the village of the city of Desh'ea and then sells himself as a gladiator planning its conquest and liberation, neither he nor Oenomaus receive the butcher's nails but they are still forced to fight with Angron who gives an honorable death to his dear mentor, then (recruiting more villagers and soldiers over time) in the last battle the Emperor decides to send the World Eaters to defend Angron and his gladiators (recognizing potential new forces for his XII Legion) and subsequently, with all medical science, heal the heads of the surviving men. A good example is Vladus Barca himself (practically the loyalist version of Angron). And the World Eaters choose to repaint parts of themselves red to honor the title (and above all the sacrifice) of their father: the Red Angel. Angron also lived alongside ferocious predators, the wild Wolves of Nuceria (hard-skinned beasts), before being taken by the people of the village. And just like the Iron Hands with the Bulls of Medusa, the Dark Angels with the Lions of Caliban and the Space Wolves with the Wolves of Fenris, the World Eaters learn to build a bond with the creatures of their home planet. Another good possibility is this! Oenomaus had already freed Desh'ea and ruled House Thal'kyr, then after hearing about the boy named Angron, raised first by wolves and then by villagers, he decides to recruit him among his gladiators, seeing him as their hope. Angron thus grows well becoming a just adult, in a reborn city with a large army of strong warriors, successfully leading his valiant soldiers (and many others thanks to his empathic psychic power), with the title Red Angel, against the tyrants (witnessing the tragic but honorable death of his father figure in the last battle), ultimately becoming the Gladiator King, powerful ruler of all Nuceria. Some time after the planet's pacification Angron meets the Emperor, this time voluntarily embracing his place as son, Primarch and father of the XII Legion of War Wolves (World Eaters), officially making Nuceria their homeworld. Or maybe even this: all the cities of Nuceria are already free and governed by several Gladiator Kings (the bloody slavery just a bad memory), who over time see the rise of the wolf Angron Thal'kyr as a sign of a worthy ruler (and future worthy Primarch)! (A soul like that of Sanguinius)

Basically all Legions were made up of a core of Terran-born Astartes that served directly under the Emperor before their respective Primarchs were rediscovered. These Astartes were loyal to the Emperor and to the Imperium, less so to their Primarchs, their Genefathers. Horus, Mortarion, Curze, Angron, Alpharius Omegon (this is a lie), Lorgar and Perturabo resorted to sending these loyalist elements of their Legions off to warzones with incredibly high attrition rates or just nuked them from orbit (Istvaan III), due to knowing that these loyalists wouldn't fall to Chaos and betray the Emperor.

A example is the chapter made from the remains of dantiochs iron warriors. There are also the theory of the charcaradons being night lords and a few others so don't worry there is a world eater chapter out there being to mad to die

Oh hell yeah - it's very, VERY possible that if Horus hadn't tricked Russ into massacring Propero, and the Alpha Legion hadn't done Alpha Legion things (they were absolutely loyal and absolutely traitorous, and even the Alpha Legion can't tell you who they were Loyal to and who they Betrayed) that Jaghatai would have joined Hours. Also, the White Scars as a Legion had a huge number of Warrior Lodges, the majority of whom (if not all of whom) were loyal to Horus and were so confident that the Khan would join Horus that they pretty much came right out and started planning to join Horus before the Khan even knew what was happening. But the Khan recognized that Horus was wrong, and so joined the Loyalists. He wasn't happy about it - he knew that Horus and the Traitors would give him a better reception than Dorn and the Loyalists (many of whom didn't trust the White Scars up to and including during the battle of Terra itself), but he knew that the Loyalists were the right faction to join.

Loyalist World Eaters prove what a wimp Agron is, and hypocrite he is. They're standing up to an unstoppable force, much lile himself when he got the nails as a gladiator, yet he's tok corrupted by chaos to even recognize his own values are being expressed by his sons, honour, defiance in the face of impossible odds, and unabashed, unrelenting rage for their enemies. Between Motrarion and Angron, the two are just antithetical to their own beliefs.

Man, wish we had a 'renegade chapter' made up of remnants of loyalists who came from traitor legions. A Luna Wolf right next to a Thousand Sons. An Iron Warrior side by side an Emperor's Children. Loyalists and serving against their corrupted brothers. Though I doubt anyone but the Inquisition would even potentially hear of them.
