Damn, I really miss having actual character development in the movies, tv-series, books and comics these days. Yes, we still have them on occasion, but back in the day - when most internet users had not even been born yet, you had no hope of having your work published in any format, unless it was actually well written. And yes, I do acknowledge that some bad apples did fall through every now and then, but nowhere near in the quantity they do today. Luckily enough we have ways of recognizing them now. If the people marketing them use words like "diversity, equity and/or inclusion," we know to avoid them like the plague. Also, having a company like Disney publishing them is also now considered to be a big, brightly burning warning sign of a poorly written and agenda driven toxic slop that no sane person could enjoy.

Considering that one of the likely things keeping the Emperor alive was the Orks believing him to be too badass to die, I'd believe that they some of them believe Yarrick is too badass/fun to fight with to die as well.

@@ashurad_fox5991 Linking them to the Emperor would be a tad much, not very fitting more like. Storywise it wouldn't fit. Emperor simply lives off of humanity, the collective faith and sacrifices he receives, and through Warp and humanity's dormant psychic potential, billions upon billions upon billions of people beliving it... it can create a god, or make someone into one. It just makes more story connection and peronal involvement sense to keep the Emperor linked to humanity and Yarrick to the Orks. Also it's funnier that way cuzz Orks.

I mean, what did she expect? The man is not a rogue trader, he used to be a commissar and is ancient by human standards. Having a way with words is not what was required of him.

Yarrick was very social in their meeting if I remember but he went on and on and on about past battles and fights in the most boring way at possible. Plus you gotta remember she hangs out with Cain who is at least entertaining. And I am now just learning is 50 years older than Yarrick which is funny to know

Personaly I would take anything Amberly Veil says about other people with a grain of salt. Remember, she insults and judges every person who is not named Ciaphas Cain.

The Emporer collects the souls of the best and bravest sons of the Imperium before they can be devoured in the warp and safe guards them until they will once again fight along the Emperors side in the final battle against Chaos. Until then they wait for the Emperor to consolidate enough power to ressurect himself. Since the return of Gulleman the Emporer has indeed begun to stir...
