What we have here, is a failure to communicate!
Gen X we need to set our ranks in order. Traitors among us have brought forth this mockery of a world steeped in trigger warnings and cancel culture.

@HookingAndHiking The fact you are aware and understand that some good intentions went too far, to me says you're less of the problem and more on the solution. The Gen Xers I speak of will never admit and refuse to stand down.

Very well stated my fellow Gen-Xer. I'm a 1969 dude and I must say that I agree wholeheartedly, hence we must set forth on our repair efforts prudently, precisely, and in a timely manner. Tardiness to our rendezvous with destiny should be frowned upon and considered unacceptable and therefore deemed verboten. Indeed, time is of the essence; Gen-Z needs our help urgently. We mustn't hesitate to act on their behalf. - Thank you for bringing this most disturbing ordeal to my attention.

I agree 100%. We let it slide because we did not get involved .We should have been GEN x style then and voiced our thoughts. i simple pulled my kids and had them BMX or do a sport that was not school sanctioned and they had to pull their own to get to the top and win.I taught me kids to stand alone.

of course our older brothers and sisters who are now late 60's and early 70's were our way out. they taught us how to survive, how to be inclusive, how to seek some sort of way out of a jam if they were not around. they were in some ways our younger parents. mom couldn't do it all without their help. Dad, well you know dad were ethier slipping or being the over protective officer of the home. at 53 this year, i now understand why? thanks for the giving us the heads up, but i think we always knew we messed up with our own kids.

I blame social media. I'm sick of all the political nonsense. Also I don't want to live in a fascist country. I believe in 2A Rights. Our two party system is broken beyond repair. We need a third party that will support gun rights and abortion rights to force change and term limits and election reform campaign finance reform ECT. Political parties are basically evil.
@TheUrbanSentinelChannel
@TheUrbanSentinelChannel 11 күн бұрын
@TheBirdFlu666 Term limits for House, Senate and Scouts would be a great start. It's harder to make campaign promises when you only have 8, 12, 18, 24 years max in your elected position. A legit 3rd party at least could offer different music to dance to, instead of the same tired old DJs from both parties. We need to save the children as they say and fix some of this mess on our watch first.

Im a 73 gen Xer. That being said. Those few gen z kids who have made videos against us are just angry at their mom's and dads. Most of us wanted better for our children. That's why we were helicopter parents! We didn't want our children having to be bullied like how we got! When I was in first grade I remember another kid in my class getting racked on a basketball poll. The teachers did nothing about that! It was the wealthy kids who was doing that to a poor kid. It's going to stay with me for the rest of my life! Our playground was like a prison yard! Im not joking! It's not funny! If you don't like how your kids turned out that's on you! You raised them! Don't tell me you didn't have a chance to teach your kid you're morales! Don't. Im not angry at gen z. They are going to have it harder than us just like we had it harder than the boomers! What do you think is going to happen when AI starts taking jobs away? It's going to happen. Have you seen what's happening at your local Walmart? The robots scrubbing the floors, the self checkouts, ECT! All this arguing only serves one thing! To keep us distracted and too keep us from asking our leaders what they are really doing. That's why Maga is doing what it is now, too take our freedoms away. I would not want to be gen z. No not at all.

I agree with your sentiment. They are the ones who HATED their childhood and got nothing from it except, "I'm not going to be like my parents", and Overcorrected. Blanket Party. Nice. I got all three things, blanket, socks, and soap! Officially, as reconned by "historians", I am the last Boomer, born in July 1964, but I am ACTUALLY one of the first GenX. Hell, I made nitroglycerine at 11 years old, from stuff I bought at the local drug store, with my paper route money, that my brother and I used to blow shit up, pretty publicly, and NO ONE gave a crap. I was driving my Uncle's beater at 14 because "someone had to get 'em"... meaning my siblings left at intermural practice. You don't know how to fight until about your sixtieth fight with siblings or "friends" or the neighborhood bully. You learn to be underhanded and go First. LOL

1973 Cancer ♋️ Model Gen X here. I can say that being part of the group that's known for having freedom as children as being feral having to raise themselves with less adult supervision. Unfortunately for me, I can't say much the same growing up with the overbearing suffocating mom and dad that I had. Meet my parents, silent generation ( b. 1944 ) Taurus dad, and boomer ( b. 1947 ) Virgo mom, I can say unequivocally that these two petty uptight c**ts contributed to my stunted growth and development as a child because of their overbearing suffocating bs parenting style. I will give a few examples here, case in point, 1985 Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as a 12 year old boy, when I got home, I got a severe scolding for something supposedly "Bad" that I've done that I had no business doing, and let me tell you, with the energy and intensity that they came at me with that day, you'd thought that I done something like rob a store of Playboy magazines at gunpoint or m*lest a 6 year old girl. My crime ? Walking home by myself from school, that's right, you've read that correctly, because I didn't want to get on the short yellow bus to take me home, me deciding to get some exercise and walk home instead as a 12 year old boy was apparently the crime of the century for me in 1985 Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Just two years earlier, I got the same earful of that nonsense bs from both my mom and the family babysitter that we had for simply deciding to walk about four blocks to my house from the corner I was standing on in the neighborhood instead of waiting for this guy that's a known aquaintance of the babysitter to pick me up and take me to my house that I was instructed to, I know it's embarrassing, Four Fu****g Blocks ! But I'm willing to share my story here to shed some light and give my account that not all of us Gen Xers had the luxury of others backing off and giving us the space and freedom to breath and grow and just leave us the f**k alone. One more example I'll give here is that at 12 years old, my dad decided to sign me up for summer school that year, which I myself had no interest in and didn't want to go, but what could I do, right ? The school in question was Townsend Street School, which was within walking distance in the vicinity of the neighborhood I lived in at the time, I'd say about a good 10 blocks maybe ? Well, anyway, when school had let out for the day, yep, you've guessed it, sure enough, again 12 year old me wasn't given the space and freedom to walk that distance back to the house all alone by myself because my stupid ass Taurus dad insisted on treating me like a helpless toddler and being there everyday to drive me back home from school as soon as it was over. It's like he had this kind of weird obsession with me for some reason that he would insist on not letting me walk home from school by myself that was in the neighborhood for that short distance, he would even go so far as to take time out of his job before his shift was done for the day to leave early just to be there to drive me to the house when I could have simply just walked to the house for that short distance and I would've been just fine. Well, that's my story that I thought I'd share as a Gen Xer with you all here, as you can see, not all of us Gen Xers were given the respect and freedom and space to just breath and grow and just be ourselves, because I sure as hell wasn't with the irrational overbearing petty uptight sh** for brains dumb c**ts for parents that I had growing up. No, I don't hate them and I don't wish them death for how they've done me, but I would say that their irrational petty overbearing bs parenting stunted my growth and development and robbed me of my true essence, talent and potential in life, castrating me spiritually of who I am. Today, I'm unmarried and have been single all my life and don't plan on getting married, but I know that if I were a dad myself, I would do the exact opposite of what my parents had done to me and give my child/ or children a better shot at life than I had. No, of course I wouldn't be a permissive parent and let them just do whatever with no guidance, but I would give them some space for freedom to just breath and grow and experience some things for themselves to ensure that they discover themselves and fulfill their true talent and potential in life, a luxury that I myself wasn't given as a child growing up. Gen Xers are known as the group of feral children and the "Latchkey kids" having the most freedom as children growing up, well, as you've read my story, I guess that I'm quite the exception here. This is my story as a 1973 Cancer ♋️ model Gen Xer here, that I thought I'd share with you all. I wonder if there's any other Gen Xer that have a similar story and can relate to mine ? What's yours ? Just curious. BeverageGuzzler 🦀 ♋️
