This demonstrates how much of genius Dr. Leo was. He interpreted an unknown alien language. learned enough about the G-Stone and reverse engineered Galeon enough to be able to create the vehicle Gaomachines. Imagine what he could have build if he had ONE functioning original Gaomachine.

性能は比べるまでもないとはいえ、合体機構とか当たらずも遠からずな感じなあたり、ガオガイガー世界の地球の技術も中々のもんよね。

サメとシャチ、魚類と哺乳類の尾びれの向きがちゃんと違うのがいい。 これらはモデル動物がちゃんと三十連太陽系にいたって事なんだろうけど、生態系が地球とほぼ同じってことなんだろうなぁ。

GaoGaiGar is one of my favorite series that has mechs because of stuff like this, I LOVE when a show..well..SHOWS how all the parts of a combination mech link together and the parts all moving like this.

I've always loved the final fusion scenes, since they demonstrate how well-designed GaoGaiGar was. Most mechs require us to be stretch our imaginations to grasp how the parts come together (Gravion and Godannar are in part guilty of this), but GGG was one of the few shows that actually designed its mechs in a way that the fusion and combinations MADE SENSE.

Guy would probably do a far better job as a God of Destruction than Beerus or Champa.

My god, this animation is gorgeous. It's hard to find animation that looks that pristine and intricate in modern anime even in feature films(although Redline or any Ghibli film made over the past decade are a few exceptions).

I don't know this show. But the animation of the transformation sequence was beautiful.

@boeingnz Spiral Gao is a drill with spiral pattern on it. Straight Gao is a drill with a straight lined pattern on it, making it more of spinning lance. Protect Gao is named after his left hand attack Protect Shade. Broken Gao is named after his right hand attack Broken Magnum.

It's a Super Robot! All that armor and power isn't exactly what could be called slimming. :) Love how they remixed the final fusion theme on this one.

Well, regarding about that Ideon issue, there are a few details: 1) When ANYTHING get smashed by the goldion hammer, it does no explode, it just turns into harmless light. Should that be the infinite energy of the Ideon, sure it would make quite a flash, but nothing more. 2) I am not completly sure, but there also seems to be a Gadget Tool that alows GGGG to create something similar the ES Windows, thing that would alow it to escape form Ideon explosion (and if it not, simply use the Pliers).

Without Genesic GaoGaiGar there would not BE a Gurren Lagann. there's a reason why GaoGaiGar is one of the most popular super robots in mecha historyright up there with Gunbuster, Getter Robo and Mazinger Z. Size has doesn't mater when courage in involved. YUUUUSHA!

This is how to prevent enemy from interrupting a transformation. Nowadays all enemies just sip tea while waiting for a transformation to finish.

Mikoto can survive in space for a shot time because she is a "semi-evoluder" or something like that. The transformation into Zonuda at the end of the tv series gave her some superhuman habilities (she was the only one to awake in final when all the other GGG memebers were affected by the virus-wanna-be of Palpareppa, too)

It's a robot with moles for feet, fish for shoulders and a giant lion on it's chest... Why is this so awesome?! O_O

Agreed. GaoGaiGar has never been about size. Hell, in the TV series the primevals were all bigger than GGG. Z-Master was way bigger. That's part of what made the show great, in that the pilot is as important as what the mech is capable of.

Root word 'Genesis' or First. In other words, it is GaoGaiGar's original intended form. When Galeon crashed on Earth, 3G had to figure out how to build GaoGaiGar on their own using what they had, Genesic was the intended result after much development.

It seems people often forget that they don't have to hate on one thing just because they think another one is better, when both are completely awesome in their own ways. Personally, my favorite's always been Gunbuster, but I love GGG and TTGL, as well (Haven't seen Ideon), so it's a little bit of a buzzkill to see all this bickering.

GadgetGao's neck is much longer than that of a bird of prey. It is safe to say that the design of Gao machine is base upon a lizard, which in turn happens to be a dragon. Birds and Dragons are pretty much cousins anyways.

@Hedoro: Going by the movies, normal Gurren Lagann was able to stop a drill that Super Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann wasn't able to hold back. Which... makes perfect sense when you think about it. The Spiral Power requirements for STTGL had to be *insane*, so if you fed all that Spiral Power into normal Gurren Lagann without using it for combining, just imagine how powerful it would be. Just think about it like a mining drill: If you cut off the tip and try to use the back part to tunnel through something, it's not going to get very far; it only works because it focuses all of the effort on one tiny point, amplifying the effect. Similarly, focusing all of STTGL's power into normal GL allows it to break through things it couldn't stop before. Even if you're not going by the movies, regular Lagann was able to stop Lazengan's drill more easily than GL could fight the mecha off. If you think about it, that's one of the few Super Robot tropes that Gurren Lagann doesn't just gleefully embrace. It doesn't become more powerful by getting new forms; rather, its new forms are powerful because they use more Spiral Energy. The larger mechas' main advantage is that they put GL on the same scale as their opponents, while scaling down (from GL to Lagann when fighting Lordgenome, or from STTGL to normal GL when fighting the Anti-Spiral) allows all of the Spiral Power that Simon's pouring out to be focused into a smaller area, making it more potent.

If...IF gaogaigar Vs betterman get an anime adaptation, I want an update to the SRW 30 that includes the animations of all final fusion
