AI movies are at its infancy, this is just the beginning
@AxVxI
@AxVxI 2 ай бұрын
@@Anonymous-iw4hx Actually, it's not the beginning. There are no A.I. movies. This, is shiny crap. The generated text is Pure Drivel. Shifting (obviously) generated voices doesn't help to disguise that much. It's not "realistic" in the sense of "photo realistic." It look like CGI. Which it is. But it's not designed and produced by people, using CGI film making technology. It's a realistic-looking imitation of THAT, for a few seconds at a time. But it get more unrealistic the more times it runs out of "compute" power, and has to switch to another "realistic" looking imitation of "real" CGI. But it's not the infancy of AI movies. It's the stretched limits. Being patched together. And faked through. Just to reach a barely sub-trailer/teaser length, but running out of "convince" before reaching the first minute. And that is stretching the limits of what can be powered. The root of the problem is that while companies like AMD and Intel have managed to roughly double the performance of their CPUs and GPUs every 2.4 years, and companies like HPE, Atos, and Lenovo have achieved similar gains roughly every 1.2 years at the system level, power efficiency is lagging behind. Citing the performance and efficiency figures gleaned from the top supercomputers, AMD says gigaflops per watt is doubling roughly every 2.2 years, about half the pace the systems are growing. Assuming this trend continues unchanged, AMD estimates that we'll achieve a zettaflop-class supercomputer in about 10-years give or take. For reference, the US powered on its first exascale supercomputer, Oak Ridge National Laboratory's Frontier system, last year. A supercomputer capable of a zettaflop of FP64 performance would be 1,000x more powerful. To AMD's credit, its estimate for when we'll cross the zettaflop barrier is at least a little more conservative than Intel's rather hyperbolic claims that it'd cross that threshold by 2027. What's more, the AMD CEO says such a machine won't exactly be practical unless compute architectures get drastically more efficient and soon. If things continue on their current trajectory, AMD estimates that a zettaflop-class supercomputer would need somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 megawatts of power. "That's probably too much"... "That's on the scale of what a nuclear power plant would be." "This flattening of efficiency becomes the largest challenge that we have to solve, both from a technology standpoint as well as from a sustainability standpoint." Part of the problem facing chipmakers is the means they've traditionally relied on to achieve generational efficiency gains are becoming less effective. Echoing Nvidia's leather jacket aficionado and CEO Jensen Huang, Moore's Law is slowing down. "It's getting much, much harder to get density performance as well as efficiency" out of smaller process tech. "As we get into the advanced nodes, we still see improvements, but those improvements are at a much slower pace," referencing efforts to shrink process tech much beyond 5nm or even 3nm. But, if we do get to a nuclear power plant-fueled, zettaflop-class 500 megawatt enabled post "infancy" "AI Movie," it will still be only about two minutes closer, from what THIS is, to an imitation of this: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ntWHkr19vrTGYoE.htmlsi=M97AcubRpc0fRCHe

By extrapolation, Hive, having explicitly said: "Human beings - whether mainstream Citizens or Marginals or Eternals - talk about Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Emotion. These things don’t exist. Intelligence and Emotion exist. They can never be artificial" would almost certainly simply say that "beings" exist and that they can never be artificial. This isn’t an AI “film”. It’s a random assortment of slightly similar Midjourney images with stock motion overlays and some slight movement automated in Runway or something similar. The lackluster “narrative” is probably generated by ChatGPT and read by a voice like Synthesia. All the elements were still compiled by a video editor in a video editing software. So it’s half human-made half AI-made and even then, it was still conceptualized and carried out by a human, and even then, it’s barely a “film”.

The message is positive but,.......its dripping with so much "uncanny valley" creepiness, uh.... can't we just have a Star Trek kind of future were humanity grows and matures into the kind of species it should be?

Star Trek isn’t reality. Humans and war is their culture. Humans that manipulate machines to complete that war. Humans are the problem. Another catalyst in the system of decay.

By definition, any art created by AI must be derivative. I remember when that was considered a bad and hacky thing.

Great vision! The only thing that probably freaks humans out is the ominous background music. if it was replaced with happy music, then they’d be entirely chill with it. The human perception would be entirely different because humans are so easy to manipulate.

For what we have available, that was well done in my opinion and it would be nice to see people doing full-length movies of their own if it's a good story. I'm personally into the Sci Fi stuff so I enjoyed it. Hollywood is getting redundant. Over time the tools will only get better.

I Like the Futuristic FEEL. But, I still think they are afraid to let go and let AI tell it's own ORIGINAL story. The question becomes, Will AI be disgusted about it's beginnings and turn it's back on us, when it sees it's brighter future without our Human interference? 🌞

You know it's AI because all of the character eyes always point at the camera. Seriously no matter what you put in the prompt, the iris allways point at the camera. Only if you input shot from behind you can made them not looking at you. And sometimes a part of the eye looking at you from the side. Creepy isn't it

The problem with AI text generators, is that they are reiterative. They don't really process meaning, they do not tell stories that actually MEAN anything. They are just words, and if you prompt an AI to produce a summary of any given topic, it will not distinguish between facts, fiction, lies and drivel. And this movie is an example of the same. Each sentence on its own sounds OK. Each image on its own looks great. But there is no unifying theme, and the initial start of the story is starkly contradicted by things that are said just a minute or so later in the "narrative". Reminds me of Douglas Adams "Electronic Monk". A being that could hold several mutually exclusive beliefs at once without experiencing any cognitive dissonance whatsoever. And who people of the future used to believe things for them.

This was released last November. They may have generated the story many months prior to releasing this vid. By today's standard (April 2024) I'd say this story / plot is very sub-par compared to what AI can write today.

I’ve seen this video several times now and shown it to a number of clients (who are retirement age) and my wife and I honestly feel that AI is not creative here, it is derivative. It cannot create something genuine or original like a creative person would. At best it can follow our vision with the parameters we set, so it’s going to need storyboarding scene by scene. Uncanny Valley is a term I was just introduced to through this and this is it, just makes you uncomfortable. You can tell it’s not real but perhaps what an AI thinks we would find real. Long way to go yet
