Hi Bob. This is by far the best airbrushing tutorial I’ve ever seen. The others just seem to say thin your paint to the consistency of skimmed milk. You have actually shown us what to look for and how to achieve it. Thank you.

Of all your tutorials yet this has been the most helpful for me. Having just started airbrushing I’ve found it’s a pretty steep learning curve. You covered all the issues I’ve experienced and how to address them - top stuff 👍🏻

if it's on a lexan like rc bodyshell can i use water or acohol?

Informative as always. I do have a psi question. I have an older Badger Crescendo 175, suggested Mfg psi of 30. So do I go with the suggested or thin until I can spray @20 psi?

I would still keep to 20 psi, but if you end up thinning so much that you are 4+ coats to get your model sprayed, then maybe in your case start rasining the psi but I dont think you will need to.

Thanks brother, I’ll give it a go, I do believe I don’t thin enough. As a side note, being from the states Ive changed my pronunciation of decal, American English de-cal to the British Dec-al. I get a big laugh from my wife, who now also pronounces it Dec-al 😬 Keep up the fantastic work that you are doing!

Which thinner do you use for Vallejo Model Air?

I do use the the home brew thinners www.genessis-models.co.uk/videos/acrylic-home-brew-thinners-tutorial-2-0/ but vallejo is also good
