Nah, I'm good with Genie being on the show without Luke. Now they should have reunited them and then kill off Luke years ago.

I'm a very long time GH watcher and I actually don't hate this. I mean it would've been awesome to see them ride off together forever - happy ending, but this was still very real to their characters and still tender.

Tony is the greatest daytime actor of all time. It’s one of those things where your career expectations don’t align with your reality. I hate that he felt limited by the role of Luke Spencer, especially when the body of work is so darned good!!

Oh that good-looking Nikolas I was only watching GH scenes with him then to find out behind the scenes he was having such a battle with so many issues. I wished somebody could have helped him, I wished he wasn't left along, or have died alone. He was so young so sad. He needed Jesus that was his answer.

The irony of TG..such a good actor. But…he lost his Luke. In later years he became more Tony Geary in the role. And it was obvious he didn’t want the L&L story anymore. I miss that old Luke…who would have had a different vibe with Laura here. He seems ambivalent to her and her memories here. They should have NEVER broken them up. I don’t care how “fantasy that couldn’t be sustained” it was in “real life”….fans weren’t watching it for “realism.” Ah well…those were some great days late 70’s - early to mid 90’s.

I totally agree! He went from loving her unconditionally to acting here like she is an old friend. So glad I quit watching a long time ago. Very disappointing when actors can't love the character that made them famous and that the fans absolutely loved

Hhhhhhaaaa😅🤣🤣🤣🤣 Luke said Dillon instead of Dante. Then Genie helped him out by looking at him and putting emphasis on ..." her husband " to remind Anthony Geary that it's Dante that's married to Lulu not Dillon. 🤣🤣🤣 Two great actors working together ❤👏.

Apparently, TG was tired of L & L and wanted out. He wanted to go on to other things, but I think Luke Spencer dogged him for the rest of his career. He's a great actor that couldn't avoid typecasting.

It was AG’s and GF’s life path destiny, it was meant to be no matter how each one of them went off GH from time to time. Both of them ended back at the place where they began

It's strange because Laura wanted to stay on the run, way back in 1981!! Luke is the one who insisted on coming back to Port Charles.

Been watching L&L from 1981, Sticky Door lately. What a far cry from this crap. Everyone jacked it up.

Ooooh the sticky door memories. 💟 The best. You're right, things really changed.I remember when Kelly's first opened everything was so bright,the sets weren't darks with contact paper for fake gray bricks . It seemed like a legit diner. Wooo if the coffee pot could talk. Lots going on down at Kelly's back then. I miss the cafeteria hospital too .You always see them now at the same hub just carrying their little carryout container. I don't know I guess it was the times. Things were so different and carefree then. Sure do miss it. Look at Laura's Little apartment with the sticky door.It just felt cozy and homey everything was more exciting. ⭐ I'm so greatful we have those old clips.

@@cindys5426 YES, SUZZEQ PRESERVED THE BEST OF L&L FOR US TO ENJOY AND FORGET THE NEW GH. IT IS HORRIBLE WHAT THEY DID TO L&L AND THE OTHER CHARACTERS FROM THE 79 80 DAYS.

yeah they brought in some real stupid storylines just to destroy this couple. Like Laura hiding the fact she had a baby with a Cassidine. Anything to break them up because they didn't want to pay Genie what she was worth.

Am I the only one who remember The Triple L diner was blown up when they first brought Luke & Laura back to Genoa city? I remember a big fiery explosion of some sort that leveled the diner.

It wasn’t the diner that blew up, it was the truck in front of the diner that exploded. After the explosion, they went back into the diner and closed all the blinds to hide and I guess gather whatever they can take on the run. They called Lucky and left a message using the phone from the diner. The firefighters arrived before the fire could spread to the diner.

What I remember is L&L being back there (Triple L) in 2000 during their search for Lucky when Helena had him. Seems like they forgot all about that much like sadly a lot of other great GH history.

I agree what the writers did is unforgettable what the hell are we supposed to believe luke really love Tracy. Tracy was a loud mouth evil women i dont care if tg and je was real life friend there scene together was a joke ha ha

place doesn't even look like the diner, they act like they weren't back there looking for Lucky when he was there w/ Helena. And all of the lies re Luke not liking being married/w kids// the "secret" which I don't believe. Him cheating. Bobbie & Ruby had to be part of that Secret too.

They did this with the Scorpio's garage attic back in 2002 as well. Laura was up there during the 1990s and didn't seem to remember that. I remember when Lucky was at the diner back in 2000.

Yeah, it would. The way TG left GH was such a disappointment. He said goodbye to Lulu at least, but Sonny? Instead of Laura? I know they broke up, but after all they'd been through together, at least they could have said a last goodbye before he left. I know he wrote her a note, but the whole scenario was weak and then he just walked off into the mist. I wasn't that upset when they divorced; Laura grew up and Luke grew tired of suburbia. But then he marries Tracy?!? And even she wasn't there when he just bid P.C. a quick goodbye & disappeared in the fog. TG must've had a plane to catch to Amsterdam. He seemed to want to get out of town without much fanfare or a lot of teary-eyed farewells. Maybe that's why he slipped away so unobtrusively.

They really went down in quality didn't they? No budget for a real diner scene now, lousy writing.. twisted ruined characters. Glad I quit watching.

So, so true! Luke turned into an aging old drunk, Luke and Laura divorced, and Luke marries Tracy?!? And don't get me started on what they did to Holly!

I can’t stand how Tracy (Jane) shifts her body from hip to hip. She does it all the time. I never liked Luke with her. Luke and Laura belong together always. The only reason they aren’t together, is because Anthony Geary and Jane Elliott are friends in real life. Plus Anthony Geary got tired of old story of Luke and Laura. Just like Maurice Bernard got tired of Sonny and Carly, and wanted a change in his character of Sonny. Since then General Hospital is awful.

I feel the same as you can't stand seeing Luke or Laura with anyone Else And I get it I understand actors get tired of certain roles but... Dang the whole Luke and Laura thing they should have ended it way better A 40-year relationship like that .... And sadly it's just art imitating life I've seen it a dozen times people that used to mean something to one another family's disintegrate people married for long years ... End up getting tired of each other and restless and I really hate that I do know that the years where on people and if in their hearts they truly want to be a part then that's one thing By all means I believe in people setting themselves free and going after a happier life But... I got to a point in my own life where I wouldn't even attempt to get into a commitment unless I was willing to do the work to see it through In the hard times and the good and do the work that it takes to continue loving even in times where does get monotonous. Or old And if I can't do that I don't even want to be involved To me that's just emotional maturity Especially for me after 40 why get involved with something if I'm just going to get tired of it... I could do fine just staying on my own if that's the case

Isn't she beautiful? She radiates a glow from within that is kind, intelligent, and strong. She's grown into her own woman, and she's no longer the damsel in distress.

She looks middle aged now, just very, very good! Luke looks like her father, not so good. TG is 15 years her senior but he looks really tired here, like he did have two heart attacks.

Wildly enough, this diner was used in Lucky's return in 2000 after his "death". So, to create this idea the diner was preserved after 1993, rather than continued in use in 2000, makes no sense. There are moments of clarity here that make sense for the characters, and moments where the re-write makes no sense. They twisted around their love and made it seem like a prop for Luke's survival. Laura's was described to Tony Geary as Luke's humanity. Laura gave Luke's character redemption, and that built the never-ending love. His love righted past sins, including the murder of his Father in this final storyline. They could have played this final so much to the betterment of the characters, and they chose to go a dumb route. I never noticed the "Dillon" versus "Dante" slip here until someone below commented on that. Wow. Rare slip-up, but yeah, they played it along like pros. I am a Luke and Laura forever fan, and will be until they actually find Luke's body.

What was the secret? I've seen comments that Luke cheated on Laura. If so, when did it happen and with who?? Also saw comments that said a child resulted from the affair.

He cheated on Laura with Felicia and they divorced years after they came back to PC. It's Holly Sutton that he cheated on Laura with while they were living in hiding. Their son's name is Ethan.

They had separated before that I believe but even prior to their separation Luke was flirting with Felicia and she reciprocated but she wasn't pregnant during this time. Holly & Luke got together after he thought Laura was dead. Holly did get pregnant but then Luke was believed killed in an avalanche so Robert stepped in to care for pregnant Holly but she lost the baby. Then they fell in love and their marriage became real. Luke came back but he didn't sleep with Holly again.

Yes. And divorced. Then maybe Luke again but it didnt work out. She was in a coma for 4 yrs. Then he married Tracy. He has a serious heart attack. Laura comes out of the coma but they talk it out and he decides to stay with Tracy. After each coming and going she ends up with Kevin. Luke and Tracy divorce. Crazy. Land L forever.
