No this kit will not work for that unit. I do have a kit that will turn that model into a side mount operator. Its a different motor but can be done. I have turned an operator just like that model into a side mount operator. Type in Craftsman Side Mount Operator in the search. such a bad idea the door needs to be able to be put in manual mode to test the tension of the spring. this kit does not allow for that. if you want a side mount buy a liftmaster 8500 it is made for this
